as someone who got sucked into the fragrance community and spent money on many fragrances very quickly.. my advice now that I am wiser and smart is this: 1) BUY SAMPLES first, don't spend £50/£60 on a 50ml blind buy, or 75/100ml blind buy. Sample first its a lot cheaper to buy a 1/2ml sample then a full bottle. 2) Wear on your skin before you buy it, Dont go with how it smells just on a tester strip, you need to wear the fragrance to see its reaction with your skin and its longevity before paying full price.

Yeah, this is very true it just helps you know what you actually want and to see if it's any good. Also saves you money

I don't have any fragrances yet and for my first Im looking for a cheap aquatic/aromatic fresh fragrance and I am split between Davidoff Cool Water and Versace Pour Homme. What would you recommend?
@raafragrances2 ай бұрын
There is many good fresh fragrances one that I could recommend you is Montblanc legend spirit. Basically try all of them and just find what you like. Versace pour homme is pretty good too.

Giving this kind of advice after only 3 months of collecting is a bit weird and funny. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but your journey just started. Honestly, some of the cheapies you pointed out at the beginning are still my best attention getters, even when compared to the more expensive ones I own. CDNIM still gives me more good attention from the ladies than Layton, Dior Homme Extreme, and Creation E. Hawas and Turathi Blue are the same. Real collectors aren't going to stop with one scent per genre or occasion. They collect the same way an art collector does. They find their style of scent and seek out new artwork within that style. All that being said, don't stop the content. If you want to be a frag channel, go for it, but don't shoot so high as to talk about a subject like this one as if you have real experience with it. Revisit this title/topic after 5+ years of decent collecting. At three months, you are still exploring scents. Create content on fragrance from the point of view of a very green exploring adventurer.
