Yes. You can clean mats several times following this process before its no longer is sticky.

I've got a bunch of mats and use each until they are simply not sticky any more and set them aside. When I start running low, I clean them all at that time. All of the mats in this video were about the same as far as lack of stickiness goes. Big fan of Dawn here too. :)

You can't use anything that contains alcohol as a ingredient it drying the tack so that's why your mats are not sticking after drying
