Hi! As long as you have our Laundry System and are using the Shoe Trees in the shoes while they are in the washer they will maintain their size and shape. Also, we use cold water not hot water, so the shoes will not shrink. The reason we recommend a washer is because the shoes are canvas and they need a deep clean to remove all dirt trapped in the fabric.
