9mile beach is approximately 9miles from Jesser Point (Sodwana Bay). Green mamba, scorpions and black mamba - have seen plenty in those iSimangaliso bushes😅

I thought driving on beaches in South Africa is illegal. Why should some people be exempt and for what reason? I want an explanation and intend aproaching the authorities on this matter nation

Hi there. I appreciate you are so passionate about this topic. This is one of the very few beaches you are allowed to drive on. You pay a fee to drive on the beach and it is very strictly regulated by the isimangaliso park in Sodwana. As you can see there are a good few other 4x4 on the beach. This is only allowed if you buy a permit and the vehicle numbers are limited for the day. You are welcome to contact the isimangaliso office at Sodwana to find out more info. All the money goes back into the park.
