Hi Ben, ı think ı didn't quite understand the forwarding google phone number, should i still input my own phone number at campaign level after ı change the call reporting on, care to explain?

Yes that's right. As long as you have the Google forwarding number turned on, you can enter your own phone number and Google should take care of the rest. You can always test it by searching in a way that triggers your ads to be shown.

Hi Ben, I have a genuine question.. if I start a marketing agency and later hire Employees to work on client accounts specifically running google ad campaigns, what happens when a employee accidentally overspends the client’s budget? For example, let’s say client has only approved to spend $100 per day in google ad spend. Now what happens if the employee mistakenly puts an extra 0 and make the daily budget limit to $1,000 and google spends that budget in a day. As a marketing agency owner, what should be my response and how do I calm my client down as they will be furious over this for sure.I would appreciate your response, thanks!

That's quite tricky to do honestly. Google pops up warnings when you increase budget by that much. If that does happen then hopefully you'll catch it quickly and you average out the budget over the course of the contract. So reduce spend on other days effectively.

Hey just 1 small doubt pls! If I run sales campaign with search ads. And I select Target CPA for example 20$. Does it means that I'm gonna be only charged for every conversion and no charges if 0 conversion. OR Doesn't matter whether I get conversion or not. I'm gonna be charged for clicks/impressions? To keep it simple - Does CPA works like PPC and CPV? Where u pay only for the clicks/views?

Happy to help :) Yes you can use a mobile number and I'm not sure with WhatsApp. That's not something I've done before. Given WhatsApp is owned by Meta, I doubt it's possible.

Google is really going to want you to have one I'm afraid. I'd recommend creating a quick and easy one. You don't need to send people there from your Google ads.

What happened to me when I set it up previously, I was getting a bunch of clicks, but 0 conversions (even when changed to 1s count), and the business wasn't actually receiving phone calls. So I don't understand, what were those clicks then?

Are you sure it was a call campaign? And not a regular campaign with a call extension added?
