you can use gold pearls as catalysts too it will give a little less than essentia but will give more than the pot (i think) you can experiment this with other reagents if you want to prove me wrong

You can get dark sea essentia with underwater golden chests in normal sea (I got like 4 already but you kinda need a bit of luck)

​​@@wynnter6834i think i was unlucky because I used a Gilded Luck 4 Elixir twice and got 1 legendary the entire time. (I used a Toughened Bronze Rod as well.) However, the fishing in the game is also weird and it didn't let me reel in a fish even though one appeared, or it'd lag while I was reeling in the fish and it would cancel my reeling process, I think most of those are just game issues for me and I could've gotten more if the game's fishing mechanic wasn't so.... ugh.

silver cauldrons might work, but you'll have around 7 less minutes of total luck meaning you might make a lot less profit. I have only used golden cauldrons myself so I can't really say.

That's not true, if you let a legendary fish rot you get 2 legendary scales instead of the 1 you get from cooking it. You can test it out yourself on golden fish since they do the same thing.

@@malimi6727 it doesn't have any effect, technically the odds should be the same, but only using a normal pot will severely limit the amount of profit you'll make. brewing the luck four pots in a golden pot will give 37.5 minutes of luck per pot, or an hour and 15 minutes of luck 4 per five legendary scales, which should basically guarantee profit. if you can't find any golden pots, silver pots should do just fine and you should still make profit, just not as much. Not getting a single legendary fish from two luck four brews is honestly just really unlucky, and I don't really know what to say about it lol.

yeah, no. that would be a little op lol. Luck 4 is required to guarantee a modified fish with every catch, and the golden and massive modifiers both raise a fish's rarity by two stages, making fish that would normally be rare legendary instead.
