Loving the series so far, and i'm also keeping up with the rest of the boys so its fun to see you all interact with each other separately while offline. Also the weight limit for elevators are on the track now not the platform just in case you missed it.

I'm really hoping they update a lot of the older creatures like the Pelagornis, whether it's just visually, or by giving them buffs/TLCs. The Pelagornis in particular has always been one of my favorite creatures, but unfortunately, it's almost completely overshadowed by every other flyer, and it's understandable why.

I personally think the Pelagornis' issue is mostly a convenience factor. It'd be a nice alternative to the Pteranodon as is, but it requires noticeably more work to obtain, as it has a higher level saddle and will only eat fish meat. The latter is a similar issue that the Ichthyornis suffers from, which is actually one of the best shoulder pets in the game, especially if it's tamed at early levels, it's just also really obnoxious to tame at said early levels. Like, the Ichthyornis actually requires MORE food to tame than the Pelagornis, which I think is wild (it's about 50% more food to tame). I think they should make the Ichthyornis require significantly less food to tame to start with, which in turn would give players the tools to tame a Pelagornis earlier on. Then, they should change one of two things for the Pelagornis: 1. Make its saddle learnable noticeably sooner than the Pteranodon. It's currently L43, whilst the Pteranodon is L38. I'd say a good point for it may be L33 or L34. -or- 2. Increase its base stamina and weight. Somewhere in the 200-250 range for both. It wouldn't be a massive increase, but it would further cement its differences to the Pteranodon.

Pelagornis is just not used a lot cause the generic gamer doesn’t want a creature with such a low base weight or the fact the average person isn’t dedicated enough to find a good one or anything advanced. That’s what I see watching channels of people who arnt like in a multi KZbinr live server If they’re not really into the taming they just get whatever is easiest which isn’t just whatever pelagornis happens to be around and they’re not fighters so people don’t look at them in the start either. If they want them to be used a lot they need to beef up the carry capacity otherwise everyone is just gonna keep using pteranodons

​@@trainershade1937Icthyornis should also have less torpor. It's like the same issue as with Kairuku but way worse because they've got even less health in comparison to torp. Only way I've ever been able to KO one was either the bola n' club treatment, or with a tek bow. Pretty much anything else I've used has killed 'em in one-two shots. The fact they're as big a pain in the ass to hit as they are (in ASE at least) doesn't help.

Argies have been my project since joining friends on their server, tamed a random one and got 414% melee and i'm so happy. Just got my yuty lines started as they're my fav ark dino. Base is looking amazing, love seeing it develop

I just started playing this game a week or so ago. I've never played any of the previous versions so I'm learning as I go. It's been a trip. I'm getting a lot of good information from videos like this. But so much is still over my head. I have a safe base with good outer walls, some Argie's, Pteradon's, Trikes, etc. Been farming mostly stone and metal. Somehow ended up with a baby Rex that I don't need, but kept it. I think poly is my next step in building. But I'm thinking about relocating. I'm in the far south. I have to travel long distances for a lot of things, other than basice wood and stone type stuff. Ramble over, thanks for your content. This is a great game, I'll eventually learn how to play it lol.

(Maybe) Solution for your storage problem: What I like to do is use catwalks at one wall height above the floor, perpendicular to the wall, and put large storage boxes on top of those. Doesn't take away floor space like this, but with the new walls it could be too high to access the boxes.

Just a wee FYI, tamed dinos will no longer eat kibble that is in their inventory as long as there's other food in there. e.g. if an Argy has meat in it's inventory it won't eat any kibble you put in it. Very handy if you need to put kibble somewhere safe while you're out and about.

you had the elevator track halfway into the location into the top. the way they set it so that anything that interferes with the track or the elevator will stop it from going further. and the gauge is on top of the cooker.

@@FATMAC2 can confirm. With a 4090 and framegeneration you can crank all the settings to epic. Well all but one: Postprocessing - having it on epic makes distant stuff like mountains and the obelisks super blurry. Works great for me, having between 80 and 100 FPS on UWQHD.

Don't worry about fumbling a tame. Just yesterday in my single player I lost both my high level Pelagornis and Argy to an alpha rex, all because I got distracted and didn't see the half dozen dilos that ended up spitting on me, preventing me from getting to my bird. What's worse? I had them both on ignore group whistles for convenience at my base, so I couldn't get either off of neutral.

I find it kind of funny how many people are getting confused with the lighting in the game thinking it's bugged when they simply haven't seen that sort of lighting in real life. Example, the Volcano casting a shadow over the top of clouds that are below it's top. This is normal. Things higher than clouds can cast a shadow on top of clouds if the sun lines up. Or random circles of light on the ground. This is also normal. It's a hole in the cloud, just depending on the way you look at it sometimes you see a beam of light coming down.

I was harvesting penguins with moschops the other day. If you use there secondary attack and follow up with normal attack you can harvest double the amount of polymer from one corpse.

A breed fully imprinted pelagornis will be pretty great definetly think you need to hit up a note and lvl them abit maybe with some baby dinos you dont want.

Great work Syn! I'd just add some more pilars to the base structure for more thickness. They look really fragile and not very reallistic supporting all the base weight.

Try to tame another sarco and breed them and have some in the water if you are able to get a good blueprint for a saddle. Hopefully have some spike walls around the area so that no other animals come in to the base. Up to you

quick suggestion - colour your multidirectional lamps - the colour I always chose in Survival was parchment as it was a warm yellow rather than the too bright/white light default. No idea what the updated colours give you though.

Love your Ark content. I use a well leveled moschops with points into poly harvesting. They get a pretty insane amount of poly. Also a moschops for mutton and fur from my Ovis farm with points into prime meat harvesting.

Always got more polymer from babies. I think it is a formula similar to prime meat. We also just use troughs for berries since they are so easy to get. They are about the same as preserving bins, so they keep berries very nicely.

One problem I noticed with the industrial cooker at least with mine is that something like medical brews say they need 1 water but when you craft them they take 100 of the 1000 the cooker has so you can only queue up 10 at a time and then need to wait the 3 secs for the water to refill to queue 10 more.
