Thanks for doing this video tip. I’ve been trying to get away from folding my garments to find the center. My 15” x 15” heat press doesn’t have a slide out platten. I’ll give this a try again. Pockets tend to give me problems with lining the design up. I’m going to mark the back of my press. I had even considered using a laser beam to line up the garments. 10:41

My Auto Heat press has a triangle heat stamped as a warning plat is hot symbol, but that triangle is the center of the press, so they probably thought of this when manufacturing the press. Kinda awesome. I went to mark the center line with a marker only to notice the triangle in the same spot.

Big Brandon, thank you for the tips and your channel is niii-ce! How do you get transfers that are cut individually to line up straight horizontally across the t-shirt? Wife uses Cricut sometimes to do vinyl heat transfers but they are layered and have to be cut and pressed one at a time. It’s a struggle sometimes getting a layer to line up horizontally and not look crooked getting up or down. Do you have sire fire technique like the one in this video?

I forgot to ask you, in creating/designing for tee shirts how are you doing this? I tried Canva because it's free but I have to improve in this area. I'm actually printing my own art on tee shirts. That's the niche that I'm building. I haven't sold one shirt yet but that's okay since I haven't perfected my process. Your lessons are very valuable to me and I appreciate you greatly. I'm happy to send you a shirt once I'm better.

Really solid "how-to" video.... no wasted time or BS, just here it is. I use the same basic method for my shirt alignment (bigger shirts are more difficult to guess from the overhang for me), for my transfers... I do keep a ruler handy to check spacing from the sides (i'm going to try the pinch method, that looks like a time saver) Thanks!

This was so helpful. Can I ask a question - my daughter wants an image on both the front and back of a hoodie. How do I ensure that I don’t over heat the first image when I go to press the second image - so once I have pressed down the first image - I am worried I will scorch that image when I turn it over to do the back. Should I only “tack” down the front image so I don’t over press. Does that make sense. Sorry.

the direct heat comes from the top. i press front and backs all the time with no issues. look at my video "supacolor start to finish" i show the whole process

no. back placement is all eyeball. i suggest asking somebody to wear a shirt in front of your. put a piece of tape on a shirt where you want your design to land and then measure that and use it as your guide for back designs. that way you place it where you feel looks best

most time i've struggled trying to center a shirt was 30 minutes, usually it's about 9-12 per shirt. it just takes me forever, especially when the arm pits aren't even sewn straight. they're almost always poorly stitched (gildan shirts), it' makes it impossible to deal with. is there a better brand of shirt?
