Hey, Maths Sorcerer. All the way from South Africa here. Your advice is really useful. I wish I knew about you before I started my Computer Science degree this year. Early on I'd realized that my trig knowledge was lacking a lot, and how important it was in most of the mathematical concepts/topics. I'm going into my second semester in two months from now (the start of calculus 2) , and I've decided to start early - your video just gave me a little more encouragement to do so. And now with exams coming up before the end of my first semester, I'm already using some of the source material that you've recommended before.👍🏽

Thank you for the tips. I am a 9th grader, and I am going to be self-studying Calculus starting this summer since it is not offered by the school at my current grade level where I live. My dad introduced me to your channel a few days ago and I watched several videos of yours with him. Hello I'm from Serbia and I'm 16. I have a C on maths. I actually started the year great with 3 A's. After that I fell off just because of some logical stuff we did, I also got 2 F's on construction. I also have a C on Physics because we didn't do the problem solving in the middle school so I kind of lack some knowledge (I caught up tho). Althought I had all A's in middle school there are times where I struggle on math or physics. I always wanted to be good at maths or physics and I actually have interest in it. After watching 2 of your videos I am actually going to do so much more of maths and physics. You got me so much hope to become better. Here in Europe we do everything in highschool. Algebra, calculus, etc. So I'm excited to learn more ans become better! Thank you.

Hi math sorcerer. I got side tracked from my own math journey when the pandemic happened. I stopped taking courses at university because I hate online exams. Now it's a few years later and I have to say your channel and 3blue and others continue to be suggested and that keeps math still near the top of my mind. My concern is that it's now been a few years and I've forgotten much of what I learned before, and I don't know if I can get myself back up to the level I need to continue my course work. Do you have any suggestions? I'm old, working full time, and have limited time.

Do you have any experience with it?

Hi Math Sorcerer. Your channel is excellent. I really like it, especially the content in which you show some books of your huge collection. I have a question for you. As you're a math teacher and like a card game (Magic the gathering, I guess), I guess you surely have some game theory books, as some or even most games are also invented or built using mathematics. Would you like to present some books you own which contain topics about different theories for example game theory and talk a little bit about them? That would be awesome. I would be interested how (card) game developers built this game from scratch. They surely use mathematics to keep things as fair and as balanced as possible. Am I right?

From all of my reading, over many years, I would say that the best 'introduction from scratch' of what calculus is about is the 8th chapter of Richard Feynman's first volume of lectures. It's chatty, it's non-threatening, and it gives the reader a truly intuitive basis for future development.

I really like the program because has a lot of different pathways as electronic, electrical and physics. But I’m afraid if I choose well because maybe I don’t get a good job as a technician and I need some bachelor or master to get a better pay. The problem is that i don’t know what major could pick. I was thinking on electrical engineering, physic engineering, optics and photonics engineering or biomedical engineering. Someone can explain me about the major or if I choose right my associate? Also what jobs can I do in a future as associate or with my bachelor. Thanks for read sorry forty English I’m not a native.
