I've gone full on carnivore for the last 3 months. I was doing Keto for health reasons, but I too found Dr. Ken Berry! Life changer right there. I've also noticed a HUGE change in my mental health. I used to be anxious about pretty much EVERYTHING under the sun! Now, I feel great, and frankly? I haven't felt this good in a decade or more. Achy joints, back, and knees? Gone. Of course my family thinks I'm withering away to nothing, and they try to get me to eat the dreaded carbs. I try to reassure them I'm perfectly heathy, and I eat A LOT!!! I just eat meat...occasionally I'll bend and have a salad since I love them. But, I also notice a difference when I do that so I limit the times I have them. I love this diet and its so easy to stick to! I'm a carnivore for life.

So true, Rina. Carnivore is the only way of eating that satisfies me. Honestly, I know if I "cheat" and eat something non-carnivore, I'll just not be able to stop. I no longer want to experience that empty, bottomless pit feeling that carbs give me.

Great interview. And I can completely relate to having no self-control with the nut butters. I also never considered myself a fan of beef or red meat, but after a few months in, I started to crave it. My tastes have completely changed. If anyone is hesitating because they think they won’t enjoy the food or they will get bored. Go for it. You’ll be surprised.

I believe in counting calories for at least getting down to a bodyweight you want, but after than eating high meat diets its pretty dam easy to maintain that weight. I lost 60lbs and once I got down I stopped counting and maintained my weight easy with eating high protein (red meat) diet. Im loving the new diet discoveries in the last 5 years, its revolutionary

Don’t worry about the weight loss. It will come. I lift and was eating a lot of meat prior to going carnivore. First 6 weeks of carnivore I lost a lot of water weight but gained body fat. About 1/2 pound a week. After 6 weeks I recorded 1.9 lb fat loss in 7 days and then another 1.6 lb fat loss the next 7 days. Body needs to transition/adapt. I also have been eating more and more and still losing body fat. Healing is occurring. Be patient. But funny you say that… I get my shopping cart and it only has carnivore stuff. People look at me like I am crazy. But I love my meat, eggs, butter, etc!!! Mix butter and cheese in your eggs…. Holy crap it’s amazing.

As someone with bulimic and binge eating tendencies this diet has been really effective. Other diets have been too restrictive with calorie counting and it's so refreshing to not have to care at all. I've lost 8kg/17lbs in 3 weeks and no longer have bloating issues plus my hair has grown back better in areas that were a little thinner. I'm not actively trying to lose weight but rather have a better relationship with food overall.

My hubby has fasted for years naturally. I would berate him all the time for going to work, he's a builder, and he would not eat all day!! I couldn't understand it. He would say, if I eat my energy goes down. I achieve more when I don't eat!! Now after doing carnivore for 2 months I am naturally wanting to fast also. It is great to finally not be obsessed with food or feel I need to diet.

I love Rina’s philosophy.. What a gem! I just started my Carnivore Journey. I am already feeling the benefits! My stomach is flatter. I embarked on this journey to help heal my chronic migraines. My husband, who has been on his keto journey since Christmas, suggested it to me. I had not eaten meat (other than seafood maybe 1-2 times/month) in 13 years. I gave up gluten, milk products, & meat due to digestion problems. I watched Dr. Berry’s video about migraines and I had my “Aha” moment. Super excited and passionate about this journey!

I don’t know if you ever cook with a sous vide but it’s a game changer for tough cuts of meat. With the prices of beef skyrocketing it’s hard to buy the best cuts. For instance we buy beef loin top sirloin at Costco ( I think it’s about $9 a lb right now), let it go overnight in the sous vide and then give it a quick sear in the cast iron skillet and it’s as tender and juicy as a filet. It’s never over cooked and comes out perfect every time. Love your videos and your great content and guests!

Hi Bella, after listening hours to you and other carnivores, I have begun this exciting journey. Fourth week now. I'm excited as the energy level increased 200%. I have ceased my thyroid meds after 22 years. Unreal, I don't need them. My enduro said I would be on theses my entire life time. My mind is clearer, energy high and endurance has improved tremendously also. I have many autoimmune issues that will take some time. In a week and a half my husband ask if I lost weight, which I hadn't (hoping it will come soon I need to loose 20lbs since Im menopause, 10 years with hot flashes). Inflammation had already decreased. I'm still drinking hot tea with pure Stevia (not Stevia mixed with other artificial sweeteners, even tho I understand it's best to release that from my diet). And sugar free almonds. I feel that will take time. I was a salad, fruit and fish person. Not big on beefs, porks and eggs what few breads I had were gluten free. Always stomach pain. Now no stomach pain and bloating gone. Perhaps calmer, I was already low keyed, yet feel happier. I have RA and hope to be healed from that also. I do not have a gall bladder and have to take bile salts (began 1 week prior to beginning the carnivore diet) to help digest the meats. These help tremendously. I have an issue with swelling in my throat and have to have a hot tea to help my food go down, so I don't get chocked. Strange, yet been that way for over 35 years. I have learned how to live with this. You are an inspiration and I will try to keep you updated. Oh after I saw you purchase your air fryer, I order one from Williams Sonoma. It's great sill learning it also. Thanks again Bella you are a sweetheart.

I’m in menopause and I’ve noticed I feel better with beef.. I knew this in my early 20’s but everyone gaffed at me being claiming I was extravagant eating only steaks… funny how it’s looked at that way. Anyhow I noticed my skin doesn’t have wrinkles like most woman my age (49) more energy, less bloating etc.. I also can’t do alcohol or carbonated drinks I’ve noticed. For My thyroid I take supplements of iodine, L-tyrosine & a menopause mix..also a Maca supplement, along with a few others. I walk for my job and do Pilates one day ( so far) a week. I feel stronger and happier over all.

Kelly Hogan has been a carnivore for over a decade, after losing some 120lbs I believe it was.... myZeroCarbLife is her channel. She explains "stalls" as the body focusing more on healing and internal repair and that once the body has fixed what it was fixing, it'll go back to shedding/utilizing the extra weight. But healing is often an energy intensive process for the body to undergo, so it wants to hold on to and ensure adequate energy supply before it gets the ball rolling, if that makes any sense.

OMGosh, this is so true. I used to make almond butter when my children were still home. I used to love dipping apple slices in it, but even plain almond butter was SO addicting. Yeah, I have to stay away from nuts.😅 July will be 3 yrs as a Carnivore...and I will never go back to Paleo. Don't miss veggies at all, which I find so funny, because I grew up in a farm and loved all veggies. Agree with their comments about skin. I'm 68 and my complexion has never been better. It totally evened out my oiliness. Except that I can't do dairy, either, there isn't anything not to love about CV. And I TOTALLY agree with her comments about exercise. I remember joining the gym where my son was a PT, at least 6 days a week, sometimes 7...didn't lose an inch or lb of that menopause weight. A few yrs later eliminated dairy (a story behind why) and BOOM, lost a dress size in one month, a few months later, lost 2 more sizes. All I did was walk 2miles 3x's a week and take care of 3 acres, which I was doing before with no results. But, 8yrs later, all those veggies, super foods, nuts, little beef, started putting on some weight. That's when I found CV.

It's crazy but you can look & feel better than a 20 year old by simply eating right. I'm almost 45 and look great for my age. I'm not full carnivore. I just eat what I crave and for the most part it's mostly meat. What I did change was no more high fructose syrups, canola oil, soybean oil, or long shelf life breads.

For any woman out there that's afraid to lift weights because they don't want to look big or get too muscular, all I have to say is stay away from the steroids then. You won't ever look like a man otherwise. There's a woman on KZbin, Meg Squats. She's a power-lifter and can lift more than most men, yet she's gorgeous and looks very feminine and I don't think she looks all that muscular, except when she flexes. She's a total role model, or should, be for women.

my favourite gals, try to pivot away from beef and try lamb/mutton as it is better form of red meat. The milk of cow has healing properties and the meat of cow is disease causing properties. I eat beef sometimes but only sometimes. Mostly I am red meat ketovore/carnovore and lamb is very very much better because I have tried both. butter does go awesomely with lamb steak. yummm

I do disagree with her about the exercise, although with a caveat, most people exercise to lose fat, "weight loss" is a synonym statement for "fat loss" for most people. Almost no one wants to lose lean muscle mass, but they want their body fat down, very few people care specifically about scale weight as long as they are losing fat. That said, exercise is great for losing fat, especially resistance training, as long as you don't binge eat all your progress away with junk food, which would be dirty bulking. Also, more than half her instagram is all exercises. So I do agree you can't out exercise a poor diet, if you do get your diet on point, then exercise will only help with fat loss goals.

1 TBS butter is the same as 2 TBS heavy cream, so I never understood the issue. Plus, I can get grass fed butter, but not really grass fed cream. The taste is a bit different and the color is not as light, but spinning it in with a cheap milk frother works for me.

I'm one of those people who has trouble eating ENOUGH on carnivore, (my appetite just isn't there yet) so I do still calorie count or I'd naturally be only eating like 1,100 calories tops per DAY. I have to have several teas with butter and heavy cream per day or I wouldn't even be getting CLOSE to a reasonable amount of food. (And I'm about 5'8.5", so that would not be good. I'd like to not start losing hair, thanks. haha)

I still fight mentally on the idea of great foods, diverse meals but eating and feeling bad afterwards isn’t a great feeling.. it took me a month to adjust and now if I have a craving I get a couple of bites and generally I am either satisfied or I start feeling discomfort with those bites then am done with those”forbidden food”.

After 3 weeks I had to quit keto, it gave me a chronic IBS and I never had this before in my life. I am 40yo. As soon as I reintroduced carbs, it stopped. I think I started with the left foot thinking that I could do it cold turkey after a lifetime of eating carbs every day (I mean over 100g carbs at least). The 1st week was fine, then at the 2nd week the GI problems started. Too much pain and bloating after eating anything, usually but not always with diarrhea. At first I thought it was the "keto flu", but it wasn´´ t because the recommended hydration with salts routine wasn´ t making it better. But It all started after I started consuming erythritol, it was like the primary trigger of the chronic IBS. I stopped consuming it and got a bit better, but the random bloating/abdominal pain episodes still kept coming. I would wake up 2AM with bloating and pain, and roll in bed til 5AM and going to the toilet for diarrhea. The last time I woke up with pain and thought "ok dehydration", drank almost 1 liter of water with salts, did not work. So I thought "maybe It wants food", so I had a boiled egg, and decided to have a banana to see if it carbs would solve it, I also had some pecans and peanuts. Man, everything felt like a brick and my stomach got tight and the pain worst. I started having hot flashes and sweating. I had to throw up, but interestingly enough my body kept the banana and egg and threw up only the nuts, what an accomplishment. I thought I would get better after throwing up, but all the abdominal muscles involved in barfing decided to cramp, so I was twisting in bed for at least 5min with extra pain from the cramping. I even went to a cold shower to see if the shock would make better, did for a while... That was the longest and last night I could bear, I had to listen to my body. Next day I had a pure whey protein shake with yogurt and banana in the morning, went down with zero issues. Lunch was fish with zucchini and tomatoes, went down with zero issues but a couple of hours later some stomach distress with pain, not severe, and without diarrhea. On the evening I had oats mixed with yogurt and an apple, and made a juice with blackberries and some grape. Everything went down with zero issues. So it was the 1st night in 3 weeks I could sleep without pain and bloating. It was just a matter of listening to my body screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOO! ENOUGH! at me while attempting low to no carbs, it wanted carbs. For some reason my body started rejecting all veggies and fibers. I was only being able to eat meats, egg and cheese. That is not sustainable. If I ate any veggies they would go straight through me, making me miserable. I don´ t know what happened, I Am one of those people who ate anything and everything with zero issues. Also very hard to hit 2k calories per day ingesting fat. When you are in ketosis you are not even hungry and have to force feed. It was already an accomplishment downing a mountain of chicken and eggs to reach my 130g daily protein need, which still left me below 1K calories. Trying to complement with fat argh, just thinking about it already makes me nauseated. I will try again but easing into it. I will start with low carb for a month, like 100 - 150 g carbs a day 1st month, then 2nd month go to 70g day, 3rd month 50g day and 4th month 20g day and see if my body won´´ t stop rejecting veggies/fiber when I drop to extreme low carb. I just know I don´ t wanna feel this slow endless torture ever again, perhaps keto isn´´ t for me.

Your symptoms are identical to mine, I was diagnosed thr colonoscopy that I have fat malabsorption which cause fatty greasy stools, plus the biopsy came back that I also have microscopic colitis which both cause diarrhea, so when I started carnivore it really as aggravated the symptoms but someone suggested adding more fats slowly and I did and wow, who would of thought that would turn things around for the better, I can now leave the house. I’m also making sure I eat enough protein, a little better then 110 -150 grams protein and 100 grams of fat , but definitely feeling better

15 days in to a strict nose to tail diet/30 day trial. Make no mistake people; this diet is vanilla AF 😭. Whilst it may have all sorts of great health benefits there is NO WAY I'd keep this diet long term, it's too sad! Never eating a pastry again? THAT'S gonna cause anxiety! A great way to work out what foods aren't compatible with you and great to test your mental resilience. If you're a beginner; strongly recommend a month of fibre and carb wind down BEFORE you begin eating strict nose to tail, it will be a happier, healthier journey.

@@agauerm ugh! Sounds horrific! Think you did the right thing listening to your body - you shouldn't be experiencing symptoms like that and they're certainly not sustainable. I'm 22 days in now, have had ups and downs but mostly downs. Ups: resolved a skin hypersensitivity issue that I've been coping with for two years - this happened within 7 days of the diet which leads me to think it's a food sensitivity and/or sugar issue. Downs; rough sleep, low energy, low mood, hard to keep weight on, boring AF. I'm gonna stick the 30 days strict pending no alarming symptoms such as yours but then immediately seek to transition to keto with 1 day p/w carb, navigating food sensitivity testing in the process. I'm fairly confident at this point that I'm a petrol engine (high energy demand) that's not meant to only run on diesel (fat)... Good luck with the next step and empowering yourself to explore your best health solution for you 👊
