I use the fact that DM is a normal monster. I use cards like “champion’s vigilance” and “ proof of powerlessness”. Very helpful and catches people off guard.

Artemus the moon magistus lets you dump you magicians rod into the graveyard after using it, then its graveyard effect lets you add it back to hand during your opponents turn. Also link spider lets you get dark magician to the graveyard in a pinch so you can have it to reborn with soul servant on your opponents turn to banish something. Bystials also work pretty well in this deck for getting that dragon on board for magician knight so he can protect your backrow, but red eyes meteor dragon works just as well at getting those brick dark magicians out of your deck to facilitate a special summon of itself. Just some half decent tech cards for a bad deck, but if anyone has bothered to read this far try them out

I use relinquish anima for rod but yes, it's a spellcaster you can use wand on it to draw 2 you can use it with secret village etc. I use battle fader but dark magician kuriboh is also good

100% tbh i optimized bystial toy box DM for the TCG and 1 reason i wanted to play bystials is to have more options into dragoon. I realized though that i dont really reliably can go into dragoon as the DM side is quite slim and DM sitting in deck or GY most of the time. What i want to do now is explore magicalized fusion. Also i wonder if a predaplant version is possible to search it and go heavily into fusions. Watched alot of your vids to get some inspiration although rn i am not fully able to play your runick version as i am not yet acustomed to runick cards. Also i want to explore a more heavy dogmatika DM version controlling the game through magician of chaos (the Ritual) and circle + eternal soul.

A cool option as Well in this deck is “duality”: - Cartesia + light or dark = Grang - Grang effect - opponent uses imperm/ mourner/ veiler - duality: tribute Grang (light level 8 spellcaster) -> summon master of chaos, the dark magicians (or dragoon in tcg)

I'm one of those stubborn guys who likes to play pure DM, for the most part, with Toy Box. I do run Magia, so I have a Goddess with the third eye, which can be searched with Toy Soldier. Then I use Timaeus the United Dragon. To get Magia out. I also run a few floodgates to slow my opponent down to my level. Skill Drain, There Can Be Only One, etc. And Souls can get rid of them.

Well, DMG wasn't ok my Jesse deck bucket list. I think especially since the support is not good enough and too old at this point, it is not an interesting deck to build. There is another good use for Souls of Magician: Gate Guardian! It sends Kazejin to GY and can then send the spell/traps as well, to draw and then search Kazejin, Suijin and Sanga. Funny deck!

I'm not a fan of Dark Magician or anything but I had fun brewing with the structures anyway. Kashtira is good to mix, with Birth and Eternal Soul you're making a rank 7 every turn. But my personal favourite was using Magician's Restage with Effect Veiler and Droll for some nice link climbing and Hand searchers to stop the enemy's spells and traps, including Super Poly

as someone who has been playing nothing else but dark magician on master duel, I can see the list is decent, but very improvable. For a list that doesn't use a copy of Albaz to turbo out dragon knight with Anaconda and branded fusion using Sanctifire or uses the Nadir package and quem to get out magia or even just the 5 card kashtira pile it is not bad. Especially considering you play 60 cards and I don't have enough experience of the game in general to build a 60 card deck. But man if you already play 3 toy soldier you could just add Rota right? XD Anyway, the most unknown way is to also play chaos mirrage dragon as a toy box target, that can make synchro plays with Targets like Omega, Baron, and Psychic end Punisher.

According to Dkayed, REDD is coming to Master Duel. But REDD or not, I think the best engine for Dark Magician is actually branded (not your 2-card engine, but a larger engine with bystials), and the boss you want is Dark Magician the Dragon Knight (with Eternal Soul) - the lock is VERY hard to deal with.

This is cool asf. I run a similar list and I like to run a bystial package to open up for more synchro play. The end board is a bit more generic rather than DM but it can make up to 8 interruptions going 1st.

probably an unsearchable card (except you use diabellstar) would have been sinful spoils of doom - rciela. it blows up monsters and protects the spellcaster you target. it only needs to target a level 7 or higher spellcaster monster you control

Made a dm deck back when souls came out. It was beast.. used tenyi as a secondary archtype. It was prety slick. Used blue tenyi when they would pop my trap destroys but the blue will bring it back.

I like the Selene into access code talker. If I open enough spells summon souls and rod, link to Selene, use her effect to revive rod or code talker. A few times I have ended on dm dragon knight or the dark magicians with access code talker at 5300

Really hoping to see charmers, it's the deck that brought me back to the game. It's hard to see a list that had both the little girls and their grown up versions. I have so many versions of the deck. Magistus is an easy choice. In master duel I have a fairy tail and horus version. I'm trying out some ecclesia/Dogmatika engines. Haven't been able to get witchcrafter cards to check them out. Funny enough gravekeepers have a lot of 1500 DEF spellcasters, but idk what the cards do. Almost all the versions I have are 60 cards because it's bricky It's a deck that can go a lot of ways, so would love to see youre take!

It’s pretty much trash. If you can summon that thing, you’re gonna summon Dragoon or Dragon Knight instead. That card is a decent answer against something like Crooked Cook though. But that’s about it. The Knight of Dragon Magic could be good one day if a card comes out that can destroy a monster straight in the Extra Deck just as a way to summon DM and a Dragon. That’s probably a pipe dream though.

Would this deck not benefit a lot from chicken game? It is basically the same effect as upstart goblin, but can be sent with magician's soul for an extra draw.

The main justification i can think for not playing it is if you don't have souls access or hit chicken game after souls effect, because then your opponent can use it for an extra draw

It can but imo you’d have to play a Doabellatar engine with it just so you have additional ways to send it to the GY. Nothing worse than leaving that card on the field into the opponents turn so they gain free advantage.
