It does work well out of Big Nickel. I use it regularly, mixing in 5- and 6-man blitzes. SS Blitz 2 with the slot CB (usually blitzing) manned up on my opponent's favorite WR is my base play for it.

Yep, I use cover 3 sky flipped with the right of screen DE in a spy and get really good block shed. I also mix in Mike SS 3 blitz on 3rd and long for instant heat.

Michael Carter it is a problem but it isn’t realistic for defenders stopping a rb in their tracks like the PS2 Maddens. Reality is that if a small defender goes up against a big rb, the rb should go forward more than 50 percent of the time unless the tackler has a high strength and tackle rating.

The problem with this shed defense in particular is the pass rush lanes are terrible. A spy is necessary or they can just scramble right up the middle everytime

Most block shed defenses don’t work well with max protect, however, the amount of defenders in coverage can make it difficult to find openings with only three routes. Also, is that Richard Sherman in your profile pic? If so that’s really cool. I’m a big Seahawks fan.

You're watching the video through a perfect lens. In game, you gotta make reads, and people aren't good at making quick reads. Also, you can adjust. Also, you can manually cover anything. Also, you can click on and make a play if they throw that way. No defense covers 100% of the field. There's a player wide ope in real football on most plays. You want something that's unrealistic.
