Adding those inversions adds an amazing sound to just those four chords. Hearing you play the basic rhythms using just one chord and it's inversions creates recognizable pieces of songs I have heard in my life.

Really love this- as you say, you can always just play the first chord and hold if it's all a bit much. I've been stopping the video to have a few practice runs each time before then trying to play along.

For extra explaination, it's actually vi -> IV -> I -> V chord progression from G major(with F# and rest are neutral)
