About Revive Outdoors:
Revive Outdoors was created by our Founder, Taylor Philpot, in 2020 after the loss of his daughter. Taylor experienced a lot of healing through the outdoors and wanted to share this with others who found themselves walking through a challenging season of life. He began to connect others to the outdoors through outings, content creation and events where they too, found the outdoors can be a place to “Revive Your Life” and connect with God in a greater way.
Often when Taylor reflects, he says, “I remember going to the woods after we lost our daughter and crying out in anger to God some days and in sadness the next. The woods became my safe place to talk with God and tell Him what I really felt in my heart. Sometimes I would get deep into the woods so I could scream without anyone hearing me or cry without anyone seeing me. In my lowest moments spent in the woods, God brought me closer to Him and it allowed me to REVIVE my life.
Revive Outdoors is an 501(c)3 organization created to make a positive and eternal impact in the outdoor community through events, outings and content creation. Each year, we host multiple educational outdoor events, create content through our social media platforms and orchestrate outings that provide a one-on-one environment that teaches proper stewardship of the outdoors.

@@reviveoutdoors4him yeah I heard you mention that. When permethrin dries its harmless. Not sure how untrue that is. For years I soak my cloths in a 5 gallon pail for 1 hour and then just pull them out and toss them on the line. I spray down my packs, tents anything. Even do the underwear. Never had a problem with a tick. Now when I setup base camp I bring a 1 gallon jug and spray the whole area before setting up. So the area I am in has none. I even spray on my German Shepard lower body and legs. It will kill cats though if not dry. I also do my yard 1 time a month with it.

@@SurvivalSavvvy I can appreciate how thorough you are, but I personally couldn’t go to that extent seeing the long term impacts of product use in the pest control industry. It may be fine, but I am not going to risk it myself.

@@reviveoutdoors4him To each their own. TN is tick heaven and if you get bit by a bad one it literal can destroy your life for years. I seen people completely loose their quality of life. Mosquitos are starting to get that way now also. I am looking into a fog machine for where my base camp will be. Open deer season here we can hunt shorts and a t-shirt. :)

@@SurvivalSavvvy a good mosquito fogger mixed with demand cs at a rate of 1oz per gallon of water does well. I would recommend full coverage from head to toe when using it.

I've learned to use less repellant and more light clothes coverage. tuck pants legs into your boots, long sleeves tucked into gloves and face mask tucked into collar. LIGHT use of repellants in addition to that should be sufficient. even in the south when its hot, taking advantage of lightweight clothes you can still use this method. Also for the skeeters, i use a boonie hat and mosquito net that covers your head. pretty effective for keeping em from around your ears etc.

I have used sawyer for years never had issue with it never got tick on me .what i do is i wash my hunting gear frist then after they air dry i would spry them down pants jacket even hats if it cold outside even gloves .then after it dry i put it in bag let it sit overnight when i get up i put my gear on .i seen hunter put sawyer in woods spray area were they hunting kill ticks that maybe around swap area or use cotton balls stick broken branch into cotton balls put them in circle area were they sit prevent ticks that crawling on ground will not go near were they sit from from side or back .i don't know if it worked maybe they did.old farmer deer hunter told me sawyer works but if u hunting near thick area in woods hang patch on tree or spray bottom tree were u like sit keep them away.if u use ground blind or tree stand want spray them to but not over do it .if u got like pail bucket with seat on it or some hunting folding chair spray them to .i don't think sawyervmake body wash tick protection use wash body with i have look that up

I appreciate the input on both products. I use Sawyer's with no issues but what is the length of treatment that Zone Protect covers before reapplying. Ticks are a big issue and does it work when applying to rubber boots?

@@jimcarriekarker8399 Sawyers sells primarily permethrin but theirs has some funky odor. Zone Protects has the same concentration of permethrin but doesn’t have an odor when applied and then it dries 100% odor free and lasts for weeks or 5 washes.
