Great recommendations. I'm looking to start investing in the stock market and other asset classes with $60k this quarter. Should I focus on index funds or individual stocks? Preferably want the route with the best return in investment. Thanks!
@ashwinaditi10393 ай бұрын
Index funds are a safer bet to start. They offer good diversification. But individual stocks could make you a fortune if you know how to go about it. Some people make upper six figures yearly from investing alone. But it's always a good idea to work with a financial advisor. It raises your chance of profit by a lot.
@ryanthompson82563 ай бұрын
I agree with that. I netted more than 300k in 2020 by using a financial advisor, despite COVID and the elections. It was like discovering a life hack.

Laura Grace Abels is the licensed advisor I have been using. Just search the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.

Excellent video but Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!

Thanks for the video and would love to know more about your camera set up as I’m looking to ramp up my content in the near future

The video discusses using LLC holding companies for real estate investments to protect assets and optimize tax benefits. It covers why holding companies are needed, how to use them, when to transition to S-corps, how many to set up, and the benefits of parent companies.

Am i using my hokding company wrong? I let my tenants pay my property manager, then she pays my subsidiary LLC. I pay my holding company when i do an owner distribution. From my holding company i do an owners distribution to pay myself.

Rental income is considered passive and therefore not subject to FICA tax. However, if you are a Real Estate Professional then your rental income and services are considered active. Does this mean your rental income and real estate services are subject to FICA if you qualify as real estate professional status?

Is a holding company for real estate only? I'm planning on launching apps through my LLC, is this applicable here?
@stevenbingham30613 ай бұрын
I'm not Karlton Dennis, so take that into account when assessing my opinion. No, a holding company is not for real estate only. Actually, the main distinction of a holding company is to own other companies or assets. A holding company does not do business directly with the general public, rather a holding company owns other companies and it is those other companies that do business with the general public. These companies are referred to as Operating Companies. Holding companies can do business with the operating companies that they own and holding companies have certain financial and legal benefits that operating companies don't. For example, a holding company can own cars, but then lease their cars to one of its operating companies that will rent those cars to the public. If the operating company gets sued, they can't lose their cars because they don't own the cars, the holding company owns the cars. Finally, a holding company and a parent company are similar in that they both own other companies. However, the distinction is that a parent company usually can do business directly with the general public whereas the holding company does not. I hope you find my feedback helpful.

First - Enrolled Agents are suppose to know tax law. Karlton, instead of providing "legal advice", pay attention and read the Code and Regs! - here you go (tell me where I am wrong KD!) ....(1) @minute 4:21 re SE Tax : CCA 202151005 states that if there are "services for the occupants [renters] convenience..." the STR IS indeed subject to SE Tax. (2) @min 5:08 - transfers of real property (or any property) "into" an S Corp is NOT taxable. Section 351 makes it tax free. You are correct about distributions "out" of the S Corp (subject to 311(b) gain) and there are many reasons NOT to hold r/e in an S Corp (3) @ min 3:56 - upon death, the heirs get a step up in basis in S Corp stock and if they liquidate in the year that they distribute the property, the 311(b) gain will be sheltered with the loss on liquidation of the S Corp (4) @min 8:03 "multiple LLC returns need to be filed - YOU know this. SMLLCs are Disregarded entities and therefore have NO filings (unless elected to be an S Corp). Consequently, you can own 100+SMLLCs and they are reported potentially as ONE on Sch C or E. Care to reply Karlton?

@@mrmarketprenuer1086 I have ZERO interest in building a tax practice online. I am a very successful tax professional and am concerned that shotty tax advice online is going to get people in trouble. I don't think he is trolling rather protecting others from falling for Karlton's loose interpretation of laws and regulations which inbother videos are borderline fraudulent. His videos have been routinely debunked by tax attorneys which he never responds to or explains. We are online so take everything tou learn with a grain of salt.

@@tkisok4883 Thank you. YES, I have NO agenda nor am I trying to gain followers or build a practice. I am just irritated that a so called "tax professional" often misleads or promotes very risky and/or borderline fraudulent tax positions that naive people may follow. IMO, there are going to be a lot of people who will have negative audit outcomes in a few years. Viewers also do not understand the IRS typically audits two years AFTER filing which is three years after the year in question.
