It took me two hours to get to level 15. At that point, I said, "This is faster??" I think I'll go back to regular retail for levelling. To be fair, it was a little easier killing mobs, and flying at level 10 instead of 30 is nice. But you can't fly if you level in dungeons, so that's irrelevant. And the dungeon queues are quite long, so that's another problem. And the people who played in those dungeons were extremely mean and quick to boot people.

I was debating coming back to wow so started a remix character since it was free to play to level 20. And I enjoyed it and got my subscription going again. Decided to pick a Night Elf Warlock, since I normally main Horde, and warlock isnt one I played much, but knew was still good at soloing stuff. Well with the remix and casting it seems like a bad choice when a few instants from melee seems to kill everything lol. But its good experience I wont pass up on. But trying to figure out how to approach this, and honestly, I think im just gonna go through the questing. I did most of it on my main back in the day, so doing it again isnt so bad. And I get the alliance perspective. Still accidently going into horde camps lol.

Tank or heal are always better if you want to Level with Group content. Thats like the most obvious thing ever in wow. You will still be fine with damage spec unless you want to be World first lv 70

At least as far as Cloud Serpent rep was concerned, it took me about an hour tops.. Onyx Eggs are still a thing, and I needed maybe 15 of them, less with daily activities :) (the cloud rings are still, after years, buggy. Many of them are massively oversized, and hitting the right place is more luck than judgement. )

Personally i can only handle so much mob grinding.. a good way to collect bronze while taking it easy, is collecting bronze orbs flying around the zones.. its a decent way to break up the grinding.. while still accumulating bronze and cloak threads. And ya really dont have to kill a single thing or be grouped, worry about tags, etc.. I noticed the remix servers are based off the battle groups.. so theres a popularion variation in each of the remix realms..

I start with what do I really want out of this. Looking at all the cosmetics is a bit overwhelming, but when I went through I could pick out a few items that I know I will use and to hell with the FOMO on the rest. Otherwise it’s levelling all my remaining allied races to 50 for the heritage armour. Oh and maxing the cloak for cloak effects toy.

We get the ability to purchase/unlock all of them. If I remember right, the tooltip for "appearance unlocked" might not be working properly for sets your class can't wear, so just keep track of which ones you've bought/unlocked already so you don't accidentally waste bronze by buying the same thing multiple times.

all achievements are becoming account wide in war within so by the time it's done (the event) and the serve is merged into retail your achievements for 1 toon should suffice for account wide progress

I'm excited for this event however the pressure of time limits is really not good for my mental health. The FOMO really pulls at me and I honestly don't have much time to play. I went healer because of the immediate LFR groupings... but having to explain to people that they need to pull like it was the old school game... so many dps and the rare tank, play like it was a damage meter competition and they die, faster than it takes to cast Healing Surge. Never heal the dumbass, a tried and true motto.

redshirtguy's napkin math put the total to buy EVERYTHING at 1.5 million bronze, but that assuming you dont already have some of the world boss mounts and toys from the zone rares. Priority for me is get the stuff I can only get during the event, then cool recolours, then world boss mounts, maybe.

Only the the allied races you've unlocked, but that is pretty easy nowaways. You can of course chose any original Horde race. Once you have a lvl 40 char in retail you can get the quests for allied races. No rep needed anymore.

Character creation still follows the old rules. So allied races need to be unlocked as usual. They got rid of the rep requirements a while ago, so now all you need is a level 40 character on that particular faction. However, you still need to do the short unlock questlines for each race once you hit 40, and Remix characters can't leave Pandaria, so they won't be able to unlock allied races for you until the event ends and TWW launches. So if you're patient, this will get you those unlocks eventually, but it's not quite ideal. If you really wanted to roll a new allied race right now, your best bet would be making a regular character and powerleveling them only to 40 (pretty fast these days, especially if you dungeon spam with a tank) and then from there, make your allied race characters in the remix for fast leveling to 70.
