Last year an ideal time to use Autopilot was probably Singapore. Max and Red Bull were struggling a lot already in practice and some had a second top-driver like Sainz in there line-up and would have scored a lot more points by either being bold enough to stick the 2X on that second driver or by simply using Autopilot, which would have been even better, if Max would have delivered a sensational recovery drive. So if Red Bull looks like they might be off the pace in a race, like Singapore, I think I will try to get a second top driver in and use Autopilot there.

For anyone watching this video I recommend watching each separate pathway as they are more like guidelines and you can mix and match them together! Also in pathway 3 (alternative path) I mention another strategy for extra DRS which is very crucial so don't miss this out!

Great video Zach, I really need this (I blundered away my no negative in Saudi, instead of a sprint or rainy weekend 🤦‍♂) I'm putting down all this stuff on chips into a Google doc so I have a reference point. I don't want to lose any more serious points by messing up my chip strategy.

Ths will be a great guide line for all the new subscribers to the channel, and even us OGs. However a couple of points I'd add: I don't think F1 will change the "cheat code" situation as they never seem to address any problems with the game until the next year and even then they don't seem to pay attention ( see DOTD and -20 for DNF) so even though it's going to be VERY difficult to build enough budget to have two great drivers for 3X by the end of the season, I'm just going to wait as long as I can and maybe have a MAX SAI + Aston as the other constructor. Or maybe Max and Alonso if that might be possible maybe by Qatar. What do you think of that?

Yeah that is very true! and I could see it happening if you did everything right as you would need about 114ish million to get this team as of now which is doable but as we know the prices will increase so I think it’ll be close getting to that for Qatar but is definitely an option as using extra drs even if you have to use it without Aston at Qatar will still get you good points

Hey Zach. Question about the league! Looks like I have 50 less point in your league campared to a private league I have with some friends. Why is that? Keep up the good work mate :)

The only thing I can think of is if you added two different teams into the separate leagues. Eg you might have your team 1 on my league and team 2 on the other private league? If it’s not that then i would suggest using the live chat and seeing if it’s just a glitch

I disagree with using the 3x DRS in Austria. But it is possible since I have a higher budget and can run higher quality budget drivers, I have more confidence that I can run a solid 2nd driver for Sprints near the end of the season. I am actually open to both No Negative and Final Fix next week. No Negative if it rains in Miami. Final Fix as a way to get Leclerc budget gains on a Verstappen build, dependent on where they each qualify for the Sprint. Plus it saves a transfer so I would have 3 transfers the following week. Since I know I will be saving 3x DRS and Autopilot till the last 3 sprints I have a little more motivation to run chips like No Negative or Final Fix earlier on.

Yeah leaps that’s a good plan there but it does require no mess ups so will be quite hard to get to two premium drivers by the end of the season with Verstappen/Red Bull and Ferrari but if you think you can then by all means go for it! For me if I don’t like my options in Austria I will wait for Brazil but that’s as far as I will wait!

Hey Zach, for autopilot I would consider running Red Bull, Ferrari, Sainz and Leclerc because the Ferraris could be competing with Verstappen for the win later on in the season. They said that they would be very competitive at circuits like Monza with those straights. Also for final fix, I think a better strategy than getting rid of cheap drivers who make Q3 is getting premium drivers who bomb out early in qualifying. E.g. In China, if Sainz hadn't got back out to set a lap in Q2, he would be eliminated in P15, and he would score about 30 points in the race, rather than 20 from Perez/Leclerc.

Yeah so with the autopilot if Ferrari look good that’s a really good opportunity however for me it’s the opposite on the final fix! Because if someone like Sainz/perez/leclerc/norris/verstappen all qualify badly I would be quite happy as they would most likely get 6-10position gained, 6-10 minimum overtakes and probably driver of the day so they’d get more points than usual with how weird the f1 fantasy points system is setup

Is it justified to Wildcard when taking a -10 or should I save the chip?

I would say yes purely because this season there isn’t really moments where you need to do more than 4 free transfers so that’s all you’ll really save whenever you wildcard

So the two best strategies would be to use your transfers to bring in Verstappen and Perez with red bull and haas for Austria, then the other good option is to run the verstappen team and hope that your 2nd constructor does really well! This strategy can be used at any of the sprint races!

Also used my no negative in china bc I felt like they haven’t raced on it in a while, but I have the Perez team. I had Bottas and hulkenberg, so it was worth it

@@Kwengru so the second strategy is to keep your team the same and use it at either Austria or Brazil as you only score around 10-20 points less that if you u had verstappen and Perez compared to verstappen and Magnussen/tsunoda as Ferrari helps your point total! It means that you don’t have to screw around with your team before each sprint race with cheap drivers which is where I think you can make your points back to whenever people try to bring in verstappen and Perez for extra drs
