I have a Lexus GX470 that is our modified off-road and camper puller vehicle. My roof and hood paint is just cracking and flaking off. I have my Avery satin Khaki vinyl on order. I have sanded to bare metal, primed and painted the roof and hood. I will polish out the new paint in about a week and then do the vinyl install. Your many videos have been most helpful and are greatly appreciated. When my wife and I do the install we will be following your amazing techniques. Thanks again and I wish you continued success and blessings in your business endeavors! :)

Glad I'm wrapping a Dodge Magnum for my first wrap and not a newer car with all the complex geometry! Keep up the great work and tutorials, so many of us out here appreciate you sharing the wrapping experience!! I'm most likely using Avery for my first wrap, over 3M or VViVid, only because of color and finish choices. Wish VViViD offered more colors...

I wish i would have used this technique when i wrapped my is300 trunk. I wrapped the top part easy but then i just slowly worked my way down the back side. It took forever and there are quite a few stretch lines but it's not completely terrible. I will use this technique if my trunk ever fails. I love the videos. Thank you.

These videos have given me the confidence to tackle the easiest wrap job ever. 1988 vw Fox wagon. I will be using a lot of these techniques. I'm very sure I will make a ton of mistakes, but, Fox. It's all squares.

Holy Crap!!! This was a revelation of two super important principles. When you pushed the cold wrap down at minute 2:45 it showed the whole problem of trying to wrap this trunk, or a mirror housing, or a bowling ball... Try to take a piece of letter paper and wrap it around an orange without wrinkles. But if you had a circle the same diameter as the orange AND you could stretch the center as you move the paper diameter to the diameter of the orange.- No wrinkles and the EDGE has no tension. . And then at around minute 26 where you smooth the relaxed material toward the deepest part of the inset and use the stretch from that huge flat section is brilliant. I just wish these principles were easier to explain and to notice while wrapping.

Regardless the endeavor, it's always a pleasure to watch a craftsman. Hopefully this gives consumers a very basic idea of how we arrive at our pricing. I do custom paint and restoration, and the majority of customers shit where they stand when we talk price. They have no idea what is involved, or what material costs. These videos give the uninitiated some insight into what we deal with.

Always stretch across the main dividing line of any body panel to make your life easy! Been Wrapping since 1999! Rally Fighters, BMW's, Semi Tractors. I have tricks that will die with me if I don't teach some one else. I am an avery and 3m solo act! Self taught with a little help from 3M technicians. I started wrapping cars with cutting vinyl before they invented wrap vinyl. Lots of soap and water kinda like installing paint protection film.

Fantastic instructions. I visited a place near Tokyo, Japan a couple of years ago and they wrapped on a large scale. They had heated rooms that workers went in to wrap quickly then came out. Probably cost a fortune to heat and hope no one gets heat exhausted. Nice work Christian.

I bet this kind of work is not cheap!

you can save a lot of time with the heat gun if you increase the air temp in your shop . make it real warm in there 80 - 85 degrees . you can get a much better "cold" stretch , and when you add heat with your heat gun , it wont cool off as fast either . you will have more time to set bigger areas of material in place . outside in the sun on a warm day , you could have the whole trunk wrapped in about 30 minutes , max. you should try to do a rear like that with copy/print and stripes or designs that you cant really stretch out of shape because it all lines up with the bumper graphic design . great job on the trunk , they are harder than they look .
