Just what a gardener is like, you go to do one job,and you keep finding other jobs along the way. And then you can't remember what you was going to do in the first place. Oh yes back to the weeds.

Impulse chopping , weeds now and weeds past . A gardeners life ... do not let them in , my motto for gardening is don’t make work . A certain amount of control makes for easier maintenance and more rest enjoying your work done . As a working gardener myself I come across some right problems . Thanks John great to see you working again . I may try the rose dead heading using the digging fork technique

In 2018 many trees were cut down and shredded along roads here: now in 2022 the areas where the bulkier shreddings were dumped still have almost no grass, fungi or wild flowers growing. That's some mulch.

Great tips. How do I get rid of Bishop's Weed with a mobility issue. It is next to a hydrangea that is low maintenance. Last year I used a rake to pull it out. It is growing in very acidic soil. I don't mind some of it with its small purple flowers but if zi don't keep it controlled it will grow everywhere. Usually after a spring trim it stays calm till next spring.

I think I heard you extolling the virtues of Neem oil in the garden and mentioning that they are not dangerous to pollinators. This is not true! Neem oil must be applied very early in the day or late in the evening to avoid times that pollinators are active. It is not easy to find this info bc it is buried on the directions labels, so we need to warn people! Can you please go into your video and add some text correcting this important mistake at the timestamp where it occurs? FYI I am addicted to your videos... I am learning so much as a new gardener! Thank you for creating this community.

Some of the weeds like morning glory and wisteria have such an extensive root system that it's impossible to dig up without breaking the roots into pieces. It doesn't really worry me though. I go after it as soon as each piece "rears it's ugly head". At this point I'm going after the root ends with a professional forest tree stump and vine killer. I'm really hoping to effectively kill it off this year although I have to say, that just by patrolling my garden every day, not a single vine managed to get out of control this year.
