I have a few temperature/humidity sensors from Aqara around my apartment. At first these would loose connection every few days for up to a few hours at a time. After installing the IKEA signal repeater and smart plug the sensors have only dropped a few times when their battery were running out. Since I installed the smart plug and signal repeater at the same time I can't say if this improved stability is due the plug or repeater and at this point I'm too afraid to unplug either😂

You still need to add it into the Aqara app and set up the zone map first, but then just add a device like normal in ST and it automatically integrates. Actually I have quite the opposite experience for Aqara. They make the least compatible, most non-compliant Zigbee products which are also outstandingly stubborn with what you can pair then with and how they behave. Also quite pricey for what you get. Using Aqara products for more then 7 months now and believe me the most issues I had were all Aqara or Xiaomi ones (Lumi makes both). The best brand on the field is TuYa who make their stuff decently compliant for for less than 5 times of the price while still maintaining outstanding functionality. I don't care about silky plastic finish as long as the functionalities are reliable.
