so you drop 85mm out of your kit? what your recommendation RF 85 f2 or EF 85 1.4 L or RF 85 1.2
@TonyWodarck2 жыл бұрын
@@ourdaysgoby my suggestion will always be the best native lens you can afford. Meaning the RF 85 1.2 is going to be the best if you can afford it. If I had to choose between the RF 85 f2 and EF 85 1.4L I'd choose RF just because the close minimum focal distance.

@@TonyWodarck Tks man, probably will go with f2 then.

That Canon RF 70-200/2.8 is one of the most compelling reasons to choose the R series. SO small!
@TonyWodarck2 жыл бұрын
It’s such an insane and versatile lens. I love the 85 and the 135 but the versatility and the beauty of the 70-200 is unbeatable. I’ve been using it for more commercial product photography too and it’s a beast.

The photos I capture on my Pentax 67 on a wedding day are nearly always my favorites. It just makes me so much more intentional with every shot I take. It sure gets heavy though after few hours though, and reloading it can be a pain as well
@TonyWodarck2 жыл бұрын
Yep totally. Not a light camera at all but to me it provides the most beautiful looking photo that stands apart from everything else. That huge negative and beautiful look of the 105 is just a magical look you can’t replicate anywhere else. I rarely attach my Pentax 67 to my straps and just hand carry it for specific parts of the day.

At one time, I used three Mamiya medium format TLR cameras (C3, C22, and C220) with the following lenses: 180mm f/4.5 80mm f/2.8 55mm f/4.5 When it was time for me to replace my worn-out wedding cameras and lenses, I replaced them with two Mamiya RB67 medium format SLR cameras and the following lenses: 180mm f/4.5 90mm f/3.8 50mm f/4.5 Now, I rarely shoot film at weddings.

Hi Tony, film its something the couples are asking for or is for the pleasure of us the photographers?
@TonyWodarck4 күн бұрын
A lot of my couples find me from my youtube videos or film groups, or see my film work and come to me for film. A lot of them have no clue about film. It's a mix for sure. The ones who love film, I shoot a lot more rolls. The ones who don't care, I pick and choose how much film to shoot.

Super sick. Love our R6s, but feeling like I’d like the ability to crop more if needed with an R5. Those 67 shots are dope!
@TonyWodarck2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I haven’t used the R5 much but I had a second shoot with it and I wasn’t super blown away by it.

Where is 1V gone
@TonyWodarck2 жыл бұрын
I upgraded all my canon lenses to RF. Which means no EF glass. Which meant no use for the 1V anymore unfortunately.
@dehartmba72202 жыл бұрын
Why are you not shooting with film anymore? In your previous video you used between 25 to 30 rolls of film? Is it the cost, speed, look, etc..?
@TonyWodarck2 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the couple. If they love film I’ll shoot a bunch. Shot 25 rolls last weekend. If they don’t care I’ll shoot more digital. It’s not the cost holding me back from shooting film, it’s really the speed and end result. Film always looks better but with the color profiles I use (The Archetype Process) and their custom film grain the digital files can look very nice. I also love shooting with the Leica Q2 a lot which is digital and the Canon R6 is so easy and amazing to use it’s made digital enjoyable.

@@TonyWodarck been dreaming of a Leica q2 for a while now.. the single card slot always worries me. So hoping the q3 has internal memory and isn’t much more expensive 😉
@TonyWodarck2 жыл бұрын
@@jasonmarkharris A fair concern. I just make sure to always use high quality SD cards, always start with a formatted card, and the Q2 isn't the only camera I use throughout a wedding day.

@@TonyWodarck tbh I never thought about the fact that the second body could be a back up even though a different focal length. I am really considering the Fuji gfx100s atm but I just don’t want 100mp files lol. Those r6’s look great too. I shoot fuji atm
