What year should our defender be to be easier or simpler to modify? Are the older ones better or after the year 2000? Please help!

As awesome as this product is, I’ve been turned off by their customer service. I ordered this exact product since November last year, and still no update whatsoever. I’ve tried reaching out to them via email and social media accounts but to no avail. I’m aware that back order waiting time is 3-4 weeks. But it’s been 10 weeks since my order. And at least reply to my messages ORE. Smh.
