Great video! I got a good question and I apologize if this was covered in one of your videos already,, who distills Rabbit Hole, it just says on the bottle (Heigold bourbon),,, bottled by Rabbit Hole Distillery,,, it doesn’t say where it was distilled. I am just curious

Ross, That last response was from the marketing company, and I don't think it was accurate. Rabbit Hole is now bottling their own whiskey for all of their core line up. The website has Dareringer listed without the state of KY on it. This was wheated bourbon sourced from Wyoming. There may still be some in market, but they are bottling whiskey of their own making now. When you print labels you get a huge discount for doing a large print run. When they run out of the old labels they will switch and it will be more apparent that they make the whiskey themselves. Their older special releases are sourced, and the state of distillation is listed somewhere on the label in accordance with labeling laws. The question about the term "craft". Craft is a marketing term and not a legal one. Generally it is used for whiskey that is manufactured in smaller quantities, but "smaller" is relative. For instance Rabbit Hole is many times the size of most "craft" distilleries, but they produce about as much whiskey as Buffalo Trace spills on accident, so depending on who you compare them to they are a small "craft" distillery. Some states have contemplated making a definition for "craft". They usually end up having a debate about whether "craft" has to be made on a potstill. The "craft" distilleries that use a column still are generally larger and have more sway with regulators, and the endeavor dies there.

Ok in North Dakota we have been getting this Southern Star Paragon Single barrel,, it is bottled and distilled by southern distilling in NC, I really don’t know the size so not sure it qualify as craft but I like it a lot more than a few of the allocated Buffalo trace products, but that’s my opinion, it just has great flavor and finish and it’s 111proof.

@BourbonRealTalk One of my current favorites! Can't get enough of the Small Batch 96 proof and the Cask Strength (my bottle is a 124 proof). I've gone as far as keeping a 3rd bottle on my shelf that is a 50/50 ratio of the Small Batch and Cask Strength for a 110 proof blend. If you love vanilla rice pudding or crème brule, this whiskey is for you. Bunch of baking spice and you certainly get the oakiness since it's barreled in new, charred oak barrels as all bourbon are. Can't wait for to see what else @JTMeleck comes out with!

@@BourbonRealTalk Hmm not really I can think of I would hard recommend. There is a Distillerie Acadian who has a bourbon but it is young and I wasn't the biggest fan when I last tried. I am more keeping my ear peeled should their future batches improve it. Edit: Actually, if you extend to MS Coast, Jonathan Miasano has an absolutely incredible blend with his brand K.Luke.

@@BourbonRealTalk I'm a big Wild Turkey fan so that always works for me. I have a Wild Turkey Long Branch, very hard to get here, that I haven't opened yet. I'd like to hear your thoughts as my bottle might stay closed for a while yet.

@@pinkfloyd7572 I didn't get a good impression the first time I tried Long Branch. I revisited it recently and came to the conclusion I was being too harsh. It is slightly sweeter and smokier than their regular products. The only reason I don't buy it is because here it is around $40, and there are other products I would rather drink at a lower price.

Growing up from a Korean background and going back to visit family in S. Korea rice sounds nice , we drink rice wine called Makgeolli 😁. The sweetness is going to be fantastic for sure!!! Nice video!

I live 15 minutes from the distillery. Currently have 5 different barrel picks. The white label is a butterscotch bomb. The barrel picks vary, but taste very close to antique 107
