I know there's an arcade game, possibly on fightcade (jmcrofts ran a tournament for it on his channel) called Toy Fighters I think, aside from the lack of ring outs it seems to basically be fighters destiny 3. But toys.

Fighters destiny makes me realize the idea of a fighting game has become really streamlined. Its really the same skeleton with a few different muscles Fighters destiny genuinely feels like a new take on the genre with how characters interact and with how you win. I would like to see it return and see if it still holds up in the current fighting game landscape

You underestimate the depths of trash I've delved into when it comes to fighting games. I hear you on the console upgrades, too. The last few generations just felt like incremental upgrades. In the 90's, it felt like every gen was an entirely new world. Also, I was pretty into Fighter's Destiny. I thought that game was cool as hell.

Pretty much anyone who was born before 2015 could say that they experienced the evolution of games overall. You got to see iPhone games become full on big budget games with ads and other BS mechanics. I grew up with the DS and the Wii and seeing what would come for HD gaming after the Wii was mind-blowing to see since we only had AV base TVs up until 2013.

I didn't care at all when I played it as a childhood, but playing it again as an adult made me realize that Fighters Destiny was an interesting game with a unique game system based on a "point system", an idea different from other fighting games 😲 I really hope these games will somehow catch on😌

8:55 valorant is a lot every round can be a max of 3 minutes and in standard unranked it's first to 13 meaning best of 25. Not everyone who does gaming as a hobby. Has the time for a game that takes at it's longest 75 minutes or 1 hour 15 for one game and you're punished for leaving mid match cause it's a team game. That is crazy for causal players of highly competitive games. I'm so glad they made swift play which at most is a much more reasonable 30 minutes. Though keep in mind at most games on average take around 45 minutes for unranked and 20 for swift play at least according to the game itself or rather my recollection of the gamemode description.

Had a N64 as a kid, I was so jealous of all the sick fighting games on the Playstation, but Fighters Destiny was close enough to having Tekken at home. I thought counters were so cheap l had no idea you could tech them lol. Another great 3D fighter on the N64 was Deadly Arts, which was basically just Virtua Fighter but had insanely massive stages for no reason.
