Been to all of these and would recommend so, so many more. Around the country: Halkirk on the great plain of Caithness; the view across the pitch at Dufftown; Stoneywood Parkvale's weird collection of mini-stands, right beside the end of Aberdeen airport's runway; Arbroath, the best ground in the SPFL; Newburgh, down by the Tay; Whitburn, Dunbar, Whitehill Welfare's woodland, Cumbernauld Utd's beer garden, Lesmahagow's grassy wonders, Irvine Meadow XI's magnificent stand, Auchinleck Talbot, the timber temple of Creetown... and dozens and dozens more. We should be incredibly grateful to the volunteers and funders who give their time and money to maintain these wonderful spaces.

This guy makes brilliant videos. He not only presents excellent histories of the football clubs themselves, he also gives remarkable insights into the social histories of the places, as well. Thoroughly entertaining, incredibly informative!

Another fantastic video Sam. Great to see you've included Nithside Park in the list. Did you know, however, that Nithside Park is the biggest of three football parks in Kirkconnel and Kelloholm? The other two have mainly been used for amateur Sunday League football. Those are "Tony Pierog Park" aka "Kirkland Park" which is straight across from my house and is the former home ground of Kirkconnel Amateurs, Kirkholm and Kelloholm Arms pub team. Unfortunately all three of those teams no longer exist, although Kellohom Arms were still playing there until covid 19 struck. The other football pitch is what was known as "The Jungle Park" for reasons I won't go into here. It's still there, but I don't think it's used for football these days apart from kids playing on it casually.

I’d love you to visit Gala Fairydean Rovers’ Netherdale stadium and get your thoughts on their A-Listed main stand designed by architect Peter Wormersley. Maybe even take in Hawick Royal Albert while you’re in the Borders

Try Ferguson Park, Whitehill Welfare's ground. Has a park bench under a little wooden canopy in the corner and a nice farmer's field and woodland walk next to it.

This is such an interesting video. I have been to a few of these stadiums and know there are so many more that could have been included. Your enthusiasm for football grounds always makes me smile as I feel exactly the same when I visit football stadiums. There are so many amazing stadiums in Scotland!

If you are looking for a new derby and possibly a new ground, maybe go to the Flintshire derby. Flint Town v Connah’s Quay Nomads, on the 09/12/23. They both play at the same stadium, in Flint, North Wales. That must make it the closest derby in the UK 😊

Albion Rovers held a certain charm for me and found them very hospitable. Cowdenbeath is a good one due to the oddity of the giant tyres for the stock car racing. QotS is too good for your shabby chic list though IMO.😄 I still have about 16 league clubs to do in Scotland Cappielow is one I'm looking forward to.

My favourites are Cowdenbeath, Albion Rovers and Queen of the South. Plus the now disused ground at Shawfield. But of course the Daddy of them all and the best ground in the whole of the UK is the magnificent Oval at Glentoran FC.

Been to Stenny, Stair Park, Ayr United, Berwick Rangers and the Shire Fir Park ground. These Scottish clubs of which many have fantastic club and ground names which me are priceless. Liverpool or Third Lanark ? Chelsea or Queen of the South ? Manchester United or Civil Service Strollers ? However we all know that football was only invented in 1992 thanks to Sky and therefore history and tradition don't count.
