My favorite Old school yugioh card would have to Black Luster Soldier, i can still remember Yami Yugi in his fight saying "I've assembled all of my pieces for victory!! Black Luster Ritual!" and summoning the coolest looking knight of all time the BLS. It was always such an iconic card art for me and i felt as if it was yugi's secret ace monster after the Dark Magician. When i had one back in 2nd grade one of my friends was willing to trade me 10 cards for it and i had to tell him to get lost xD. Still to this day i find myself gravitating towards archetypes and cards that have the knight aesthetic to them and that single card has influenced the decks i play now + i love to see black luster cards getting used in our 2020 meta currently and still managing to be great! - with that being said, i also think toon BLS is the best looking toon card of all time as well and i would LOVE a chance to have that Pegasus structure deck sent my way :P (praying to the divine beasts that you see this comment Sam) break uppercut elbow bruh

Horus the Black Flame Dragon. Around that time Monarchs were going crazy and I always loved the big beatsticks. Horus combined with Royal Decree and Mystic Swordsman completely locked your opponent up most of the time.

My favorite old school YuGiOh card is Toon World. For whatever reason, when I was watching Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters as a kid, I just really liked how the spell could let Pegasus get toon cards. The toon cards are not only cuter versions of the originals, but some are stronger. It was also the very first spell I ever got (from Spell Ruler). So y'know, I would definitely prefer the Pegasus deck.

Honestly, I'm gonna say my favorite architype: Toons were always my favorite. When I saw the movie, I thought it was so cool that theoretically any monster can become a toon monster. Now in 2020 I think toons can be a viable deck with all the support they have. Mine is Dark Magician, me and this card go way back to when I was 5 (14 now), I have used this cards and destroyed lots of peoples decks with Dark Magician, Exodia, Mirror Force and Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon. I've only been beat once and it was because of me and my friend's modified rules (gave him more of a benefit than me). Would LOVE the Pegasus Deck. My all time favorite Yugioh card is SDK-001 Blue eyes baby, I remeber my dad buying it for me at toys R us because we both loved kaiba and blue eyes. Then when we got home and opened some LOB packs ,we pulled blue eyes only for our excitement to turn to UTTER APPALING CONFUSION when we first gazed upon the LOB blue eyes art. We put that card in the binder and never spoke about it again. SDK OG anime art is where its at.

I am now 18 but I am playing yu-gi-oh since I was in the 3rd grade or at 9 years old. I miss playing old school yu-gi-oh cards like the dark magician deck, blue eyes white dragon but the five cards that feels nostalgic every time I see it are the cards that will summon EXODIA, the forbidden one. It is very rare and very hard to collect and summon it, but it is one hell of a great and amazing achievement.
