I actually got into the beta this time! I don't know how to play but it's really fun I chose Ryu at first cuz he's the simplest, but I ended up doing better at linking combos as Ken and Kimberly, oddly enough. I didn't look at the latter's command list though so there's still stuff I'm missing, hehe

I had soooo much fun in the beta!! I was playing without feeling the time! Tried all characters and they are all amazing but man Ryu is back in form!! He's fantastic in SF6! The animation,level of details, imapct of each hit, the netcode, everything was absolutely amazing! Kudos capcom!

I got selected for the Beta and it was a blast. I pretty much just kept switching between characters. I matched up with this Guile player while I was Ken and we rematched for three hours straight. People in the lobby chat were really chill too. I haven't had this much fun in Street Fighter in a long time. I just may get back into competitive once it releases.

If you're broke just say that, time is the best discount. Actually if you're a kid be quiet. If you're grown what job do you do? I'll let your bosses know that you think raises over time are silly. One of the reasons why being a game dev sucks. Low pay and lots of work. I'd be able to put my degree to use if it was actually more fruitful.

I got an invite this time round it's been awesome I got 250 matches in. I tried everyone but mostly played Juri, Luke and Chun. I struggle to play more than 30 minutes at a time with SFV and Tekken 7 but this I can play for hours on end, The quick load times and separate character ranks make it a lot more engaging.

I just finished my time with the Beta and oh my fighting game gods in valhalla, I am going to miss this game. It's the first fighting game I've gotten excited about on my own, and it's absolutely delivered on like 99% of what I was hoping it would be. Even as a lowly Iron 2-3 player, I'm having a BLAST with it. (The 1% off is that I hate both Charge Inputs and the misplays caused by having both Shoryuken inputs and double 90 degree inputs on the same moveset... But that's just Street Fighter for you.)

The Ken army was insane this weekend the other characters are really cool as well it doesn't hurt to experiment. I ended up playing Chun loads despite ending up with a low rank and Luke just clicked with me. His crouching heavy punch is the anti air normal my slow reactions have been waiting for and I tend to gravitate towards goofball characters who kick ass anyway.

@Richard Davila I didn't see much Guile I think him Like and Chun where the rarest on my matchup log Ken and Ryu took up 60%. I kinda think in the next beta they should rotate characters to ensure fair testing of the new stuff.

I still don't jive with SFV Luke I might just need more practice but I'd rather focus on Akira as she's not likely to be in SF6 and she's a ton of fun.

That hurtbox at 11:15 seems really off. You punch air, nowhere near him but it's like the hurtbox of his crouching forward extends all the way up to his head position when he is standing. It would be different if you were hitting him on startup, before he goes into the crouching position, but you aren't.

I played tons of SF4, barely and SF5. SF6 was super super fun. To me it feels like a mix of 3 and 4 even though I only scratched the surface of it. The hype for this game is completely justified I cant wait for the next beta!

I honestly can say I was very impressed with the beta and the new feel of SF6 is amazingly addictive and I was using the new modern control setup. You lose a few attacks but the game still stays fun. Biggest thing I hated about SF was input moves that don’t work when you want them to. Since it has a special moves button no more missing dragon punches or fireballs! Do all specials with the push of a button!!!! DNF duel type of feeling almost…. Ima pre-order 4 sure after this beta!

I’m so sad 😭 I got a beta code but I never got a chance to play it during the 3-day period. I had to build an entire PC first (two PCs, in fact) because my RX 480 was just barely below the minimum spec requirement of an RX 580 in order to play the game. Fortunately this beta wasn’t the reason for the upgrade itself, but it’s a bummer!

The Ryu design has a lot of potential. Think they should make him more brown and less goldish in tone, honestly keep half a gi that has his robe wraped through like some sort of a cape and add a belt like the ones on the long haired Evil Ryu. TL:DR To anyone who got to play the betas so far - do you think SF6 could maybe stick? Hows the combo chaining feel? Is this actually THE game for beginners? So I've played a whole bunch of different fighting games and enjoyed them a whole bunch! (some more important ones being Tekken3/5, some of the older GuiltyGears, Mortal Kombat X, and Skullgirls since it's launch, its what got me into competetive online fighting, and nowadays I'm grinding DBFZ) But with SF? It never stuck to me, tried both 4 and 5 and the combo chaining timing felt just.. off (kind of a similar but opposite thing with KoF aswell) Thoughts if this one maybe could?

Man my experience with beta was so bad. Averaged like over 100ms of lag with a lot of delay (way more than 100ms, that's for sure). When it worked better, it was still very choppy. It sucks to play this game from Finland, might end up not picking it up for this reason :(

Parries seem to only be useful for projectiles, rather than multiple close range attacks. I'm not sure if limiting its versatility is such a good thing but it at least means it's not overly relied upon.

It prevents pushback. Which is useful at times. And also increases your Drive Guage overall if you get hit multiple times as the increase outpaced the Guage you drain to use it.
