That’s what’s tricky about life grip, because it assumes you know better than everyone else on the team. But there’s always a chance your intuition is wrong. I don’t think support players should develop that babysitter mindset, it’s the reason so many are resentful at the end of matches

A lot of people don't value high ground cause they don't realize, in simple terms, what it gives Information (via higher vantage point) Options (you can freely drop down or stay up, but they need time or resources to get on your level) And cover. I have seen so many dps on high ground but never backing up and crouching so the enemy can't just keep dinging them while they get healed -_-

low elo players arent mechanically gifted enough to get value out of it high elo players already position around it when needed and basically every pop char has mobility to get to it quickly & even low mob chars can reposition to highground between fights. a 20 sec cd isnt usually worth highground & using petal to get them to highground puts it on cd for lw himself and makes him a free dive In short, it has value but lw doesnt really make its value more accessible in any meaningful way besides for niche scenarios like numbani or in VERY coordinated settings where just running dive is usually still better

I think life weaver is better than most people give him credit for. But he is too dependent on coms to be effective even more so than sombra. And to get to most out of him not only does LW need to have great game sense, but his team mates as well.

Is charging the heal to about 35 really the best way to do it versus waiting about 50% longer to get almost double the healing of 65? My thinking is: Maybe some small quick heals to start if they are very low just to get them away from catching a stray bullet and dying and then charging for big heals to fully replenish their health as fast as possible. It would be good for someone to experiment and find the exact number you should aim for for the most healing per second.

Guys, charging full to 65 is max hps, and you should try to get close to that if your target isn't taking fire. Only reason to do a lower charge is if they're actively taking damage and at risk of dying without the immediate heal.

I suppose waiting to charge to 65 might take so long that they die. You need it *now*. Also, if you wait until actually 65, there's probably a bit of time at full charge before you react to release it, wasting time.

@KO-oq1ru your right, but it's easier to just say it's more hps because it's simpler to understand. Yes, fully charging is more hps, but half charging like you said is more sustain, but also it affects more break points characters like tracer or ashe can kill targets in less than a second but by giving that extra healing it requires them to take an extra shot or reload, it's why Cassidy having extra 225 hp was so useful.
