If I had to pick a single favorite episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies", this would probably be it. The rich and overprotected city boy is introduced to the simple country pleasures of the Clampetts, and loves it! My favorite bit of dialogue is when he talks about how his parents are never home. He said, "They write to me regularly - every month or two - and they always call me on my birthday." Granny looked at Jed and said sarcastically, "Well, that's right friendly of them!" Then of course, there's the hilarious closing scene with the chauffeur. I've seen that a hundred times and it still makes me laugh!

I grew up watching these old shows and it has been great to see them again. With TV being full of all things political and so much anger, hate and “alternative facts” over the last few years, this show was a welcome break for me and lifted my spirits too. I’m glad you’re enjoying the show Rick.

Gosh, notice that's episode 36 of the 1st season. Nowadays, we write, at most, 26 episodes, with full re-runs. In those days, they thought no one would deign to watch a re-run, so 39 weeks was 3/4ths of the year, with a summer replacement for the other 1/4th. (Quality of video also limited re-runs.) Now that was a lot of work for the writers and production company...
