10:20- I believe the voice of this particular operator was that of Bea Benederet (cousin Pearl). She was the original choice for Granny but after she saw Irene Ryan's audition, she told them she was perfect for the part. Cousin Pearl was written in especially for Bea and the two ladies were best if friends until Irene's death only three years after the show was cancelled.

Actually, Bea died in 1968, with Irene dying in 1973, and the show ran through 1971 (all according to Wikipedia articles). Interesting to know of their close friendship.

Marie was a knockout! She didn't appear on too many episodes. "The Servants" and "The feud" were where she would make more than one appearance. Ravenswood appears a few more times but not many.

Elly May and Jed were very close both in and off set. Jed and Miss Jane got along until she ran for office and he said some mean things about her in support of her opponent and the two didn't speak for several years until Buddy apologized at some point. He died soon after.
