Seeing this: Have you considered running the simulation on a server with drawing to the website for a long time, as a form of "slow TV" where people would be able to tune in and look at the situation? Ideally with the possibility to zoom around and check individual Bibtes' status and brains, but without the movement possibility (to let the simulation run uninterrupted)? That way, everyone would be able to see the situation developed after a _long_ time (like, months-running simulation). EDIT: Ideally with a timer to see for how long is the simulation running.

It's a plan of mine! But it's still some time away. I would have to purchase/rent a server first and program the website, etc. Quite some work ahah! But I agree that it would/will be incredibly cool 😁

@@TheBibitesDigitalLife Looking forward to that point. Sadly, I'm too much of a beginner in coding (and not even in web, ha!) to help.

Love the concept, and whatever improves the AI the farthest so maybe they start to learn how to grow their own food, or just different bibites like other species and get say, 'milk' from them or 'eggs' and slowly letting them learn the farthest you can like that would be cool

It would be great if creatures with the help of mutations can generate new pixels in their body (cells) that allow them to perform other functions, for example, pixels that make hunting easier.

I love this project you’re doing! Maybe you could find a way to motivate the bibites to become territorial. If you added more things to make each area more unique, they’d be able to differentiate places more, and might start staying in certain areas more. There’s probably something that would make this idea not work but it’s just a thought
@TheBibitesDigitalLife4 жыл бұрын
That's the plan! Eventually I'll get to my plan of adding biomes and evolving plants to the simulation, it'll get a lot more lively in there :o

Est-ce que le réseau de neurones d'un bibite peut évoluer de telle sorte qu'il devienne récurent (RNN) ? ça permettrait aux bibites d'avoir une mémoire.
@TheBibitesDigitalLife4 жыл бұрын
Certains neurones de type "latch" peuvent évoluer. Ce qui revient à un genre de mémoire, qui peut autant être long terme que court terme selon son utilisation
