This was very fun. For each category I gave 3 points to the best choice, 2 for the second, and 1 for the third. My results were: 1. Frisch: 13 points 2. Wildsmith: 12 points 3. Nickels: 11 points. Love you guys!

This was tough, some innovative picks and some past their “prime” oldies. 😆. But when Frisch pulled out the LSB Two Column VBV (the Joe Burrow of greatness), I have to jump on his team. Nickels almost had me with the Hebrew Greek Study Bible. Wildsmith went with the elite quality seasoned players. Thanks, guys, this was a fun ride.

Everyone did awesome! I love a lot of the choices from all of the Tims. Wildsmith went with the most beautiful and classic editions. Frisch went with some innovative editions and Nickels went with some amazing budget options. Next year I would love to see more categories (Preaching, Premium and Budget) I would also like to see a more people in the draft. Get Matthew Everhard, David Lee Brown, Jason Mayfield and Beau Tate.

Frisch has the win. I've been hunting for a premium bible, and 3 of the top contenders for me are in his list, the Stridon, Treveris, and LSB are all I have spent time researching, but still haven't decided between them.

Frisch, far and away. He had four that would be in my top six: Wide Margin: Lockman WMR Study Bible: NLT Filament Personal Size: Treveris Wild Card: LSB 2 Column Verse by Verse Single Column: Clarion Reference: Lockman Reference Bible And because it's a Bible draft, and should have had seven categories, haha: Compact: HIStory Nickels and Wildsmith both had good study Bible picks. And I do like that Keyword Study Bible Nickels picked for his reference.

Just came across this and surprised there aren’t more comments. Ordered the Filament for myself and granddaughters. The cultural Bible Nichols talked about sounds interesting. Also wish publishers would standardize the point size. Large can be 7 pts. Or 12 pts. Thanks for the video. Fun and informative.

I am voting for Tim Frisch for Cambridge Concord wide margin which I have and is superb, for the Schuyler Treveris which I also have and love, and particularly for the LSB which I have in Shamar Goatskin and gets top marks from me as an exceptional translation. I would have picked the Humble Lamb NASB HIStory for my wildcard, just for the chunkiness of the Bible. Of course, any of the Humble Lamb Bibles would be a great wildcard pick. I mean, having "THE WORD OF GOD" instead of "HOLY BIBLE", the bright colors, the words of Christ in blue, the fore-edge gild, the illustrations by Gustave Doré and the nicknames they give to each translation- the KJV Lion, the NKJV Shepherd, and now the NASB HIStory, you can't get much more wildcard than that. At least the way I define "Wildcard".

I think there should be a reader's Bible category (single volume and/or multi volume). But I suppose Tim Wildsmith's wild card selection, Bibliotheca, fits the bill.

I loved this! Thank you all Tim's , I have to say my most favorite bible is the Thompson! So in this case I do have to go with Frisch because of that choice alone, I do love his choice of the Filament Bible also. I have the Olive Tree Bible app on my phone so I get a lot of the digital anyway. I do have to say you all made compelling choices.

I was leaning towards Frisch because of the filament choice being an innovative take - but as a Hebrew and Greek reader, I'm really not a big fan of the LSB as a translation. It's claims of being literal are overstated for me, and prioritises "token" literalness over clarity in meaning. I had Nickels and Wildsmith tied, but Wildsmith's Wildcard is top-drawer - so my vote is Wildsmith! Thanks for the videos chaps!

Nichole’s.As you am new at this but love to learn about all bibles. I grew up with kjv. I currently have nkjv study Bible and kjv personal Bible. beyond the informational advantages of this video, I'm most entertained to see these three loosen up some and bag on each other a little bit... in that vein, I'm calling shennanigans on the Treveris being considered a personal sized bible. that argument was won on a technicality created by one publisher that OBVIOUSLY pushed the term personal too far over the line. I believe a far easier pick for personal size that isn't specifically labeled as such would be the Cambridge Clarion, which I believe Wildsmith indirectly coined the Little Brick, and happens to be the very first premium I've ever owned. Clarion for the late round win!

Great list. So hard to choose. However, you guys missed out on a sleeper, the greatest reference bible of all time: The Westminster Reference Bible. I love the TCR and use it all the time, the Westminster blows it out of the water with references.

My personal pick would be The John Macarthur NASB Study Bible Wide Margin-The Real Tim, Wildsmith second. My personal pick is Cambridge wide margin. Single Column- The Real Tim, Wildsmith second. My personal pick is the Zondervan NASB Wide margin reference Bible in Goatskin Reference- The Real Tim, second a tie for Wildsmith and Nickels. My personal pick Thomas Nelson Classic vs by vs with center column references hands down.. Personal Size- Wildsmith hands down, The real Tim second. My personal pick is a very hard choice between the PSQ and the Clarion. The Clarion has the edge because it has a very good concordance and map index. Wildcard-The real Tim, Nickels second.
