Christ didn't preach politics, or strive for any specific political outcomes, he preached on the transformation of our hearts and to speak God's truth without concern for politics or political outcomes.

@@dagovertozavala1915 no it’s called teaching your flock who may not have the full biblical understanding of what we are called to believe. He said that in the intro of what this message about! Because as a Shepard you are held accountable to make sure your flock is aware of what we as believers are held to! Like Pastor Ed said quit looking through your political filter. Because your words say it loudly that is what you are doing!

Thank you, Pastor Ed, for this much-needed message. Jesus loves us all, and He gave us the gift of free will. It is our responsibility to act in alignment with that love, putting His love for people first. We are all equal in God’s eyes, regardless of the color of our skin, and His love will always outweigh hate, racism, and division. I will continue to be a light and the salt of the earth, as commanded in Scripture (Matthew 5:13-16), but I refuse to lead with hate or contribute to division. As a mother to a Black son, wife to an African American man, and daughter of immigrants, my perspective is shaped by love and equality. It is clear to me that any movement or political stance that prioritizes exclusion, hatred, or radicalism in God’s name has strayed from true Christian teachings. God does not call us to support division or misuse His word for political gain. Voting for a platform that has moved from the basic Christian principles of love, humility, and justice to radicalism is not in line with Christ’s teachings. We are called to love one another (John 13:34-35), seek justice (Micah 6:8), and care for the marginalized. Radical Christianity that fuels division and hate is not the way of Christ. I will continue to lead with the love Jesus has shown us, always putting His commandments first. 💙💙💙

"You might be getting my vote, but you're not getting my heart" was PERFECT! This sums up so much. When we say voting is putting faith in man, this statement needs to be considered greatly. We are called to use our fought for rights, it doesn't mean we're putting a government official above God (while some surely do) it means we're practicing what we've been called to with the faith that GOD will do what he does for His glory. At the end of the day, we know who wins, it won't change, Jesus wins!!! Thank you for this amazing message!

@@Marcothepoolguy Jesus has something much better to say, you need to put CHRIST back into Christianity, "give unto Caesar what is Caesar and given unto God what is God." Why Christians rarely ever quote Christ anymore is a sign that many Christians are lost. Get back to the basics, read and meditate on Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

I appreciate many points made in the message, such as upholding biblical truths, standing up for the marginalized, and relying on God’s word in both personal decisions and the choices we make for political candidates. However, I believe the reference to Separation of Church and State is somewhat misleading. The concept, articulated by James Madison (influenced by Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers), reflects beliefs that were not aligned with Christianity in the way many practice it today. For example, Madison once wrote to Edward Livingston, “Religion & Government will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.” This idea shaped the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment (1791): "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Framing these clauses in a strictly Christian context misrepresents their original intent. On globalization, the U.S. plays a dominant role. It maintains military installations across many nations-not merely for defense, but as a show of power, much like the Roman Empire and others throughout history. Economically, many countries rely on the U.S. dollar and American corporations like Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Chevron, and Amazon etc, which have shaped global markets and social behaviors. In response to this influence, countries like China have developed their own versions of platforms and limited U.S. corporate influence to safeguard their sovereignty. Thus globalization especially with how the US operates globally is completely what the US in a way continues to push. No doubt politics can be divisive and contentious however, both political right and left backing churches choose their sides and draws their lines. As C.S. Lewis says in Mere Christianity, both sides seek God as “…an ally where we are offered either a master or a judge”. My hope is that we focus on Scripture’s transformative power rather than using it as a political tool.

Agree! Transformative power is a heart of stone into a heart of flesh. Christ removed the wall of hostility through the cross. I have said before that we need to remind ourselves that God is Spirit and everything He does is spiritual. The fruits, the gifts, our salvation, the words of Christ, and the kingdom that cannot be detected. Everything comes down to motivation of the heart. And these you cannot sanction or put into a political policy. But I have also learned that zeal without knowledge is very dangerous and the truth is there are multitudes of Christians who have no use for the word of God. The tree is in plain sight

Voting is an act of putting faith in humanity. Christ calls us to put our faith in God. Christ calls us to love our enemies, love our neighbors as ourselves, and to soften our hearts to his love, mercy, and wisdom. Politics and elections are modern day secular idols. As a Church you can provide the support a mother needs to choose life over having an abortion. You do not need to vote for Republicans or pro-life political candidates to save children from abortions. You do not need politics to help mothers in need of Christ's guidance. You do not need politics or political candidates because as we all know too well in reading the Bible, the majority of humanity rejects God and our times are no different. Democracies, Theocracies, Monarchies, Dictatorships etc. are all Anti-Christs. The only vote that matters is how we vote to live, a life in Christ, or a life without Christ. That is the only vote that Christ preached about, our individual right to choose life or to choose death, all other elections are a "chasing after the wind."

The Lord uses humanity as a means to accomplish His purposes. Whether it's through preaching the Word, feeding the needy, laws and legislation that uphold Truth and justice...we should absolutely understand this season with its due weight and responsibility knowing that Jesus is King, and no candidate will save us; and this King is blessed and pleased with uprightness.
