Because we also glory in our sufferings knowing that suffering produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame (John 16:33, James 1:2, Romans 5:3-5). It is one thing to know this reality, and another thing to believe it. While much can be said on this subject, one thing is for certain: the Bible does not view suffering as a sentimentality; yet it offers a robust vision of hope. Let's explore how that works throughout the Bible and where it finds its conclusion.
