I’m pumped because he played RB in the NFL… and he’s coached RB’s at a high level for years. That’s it. He’s an amazing pick up for the position.

Unlike the previous RB coach.

if he's so great, why did he go to UCLA to coach for just one year? Is he actually great, or is he cheap? I have thought about why belichek may have took a college job, and maybe coaches do that to avoid being hired to certain teams that they know will be looking for coaches that off season. The belichek thing was really odd to me. It's possible that he's just bored and didn't want the stress of NFL too, or some other reason related to that team. I ask the question, because I look at Bieniemy in what he did at UCLA for 1 year. It was weird and similar. Or is it that no1 wanted them cause they were too expensive? It could be many things, but it's a question worth asking.

I don't think there's anyone in history who's had more words spoken about him becoming a head coach without being a head coach -- or arguably deserving to be a head coach (based on player testimony & coaching interviews that went south) -- than Bieniemy.

I’m excited about the hire cuz all we have heard from the locker room is “we need harder coaching” and Bienemy was the disciplinarian in KC for Reid. So I think he’ll be a strong RB coach and culture guy for Ben

I’m excited about it because hiring guys like Antwaan Randle El, Al Harris, and Eric Bieniemy puts coaches in that building that will get immediate respect from this locker room.

I am excited. It almost feels like I moved my fandom to another team. I may not fully believe this until I see all of the coaches on the sideline in the first game.

Completely unproven play caller with a HC job, everyone wanted Bieniemy to prove himself as a play caller. Not Nagy or Pedersen though.

Declan Doyle is playing 4D Chess and he grinding right now. That's gone payoff. The NFL need more young minority candidates to get opportunities like this on the offensive side of the ball. Most of the time they get defensive.

Doyle is a smart young coach who was given the title of OC to prevent other teams from signing him unless they plan on giving him play calling. This way Johnson can keep him a couple of years longer.

Nobody was great at Washington I’m not worried about his past as OC. He just the RB coach. I’m not going to worry about him being to demanding. This team and the players on this team need a kick in the ass . No more baby stuff no more

I'm for sure trying to keep a level head when it comes to off season stuff. my biggest priority now that Ben Johnson is hired is over invest in the OL. i have no idea how the hell the coaching staff will do or if the team will be any damn good. Adam Hoge has been on this thing about grading the subsequent coaching staff and i gotta say i have no freaking clue how we can evaluate the staff without the team playing any games yet. Mow if they sign trey smith and draft some OL then I'll be insufferable, proud, and stupidly hopeful
@niveKOnBassКүн бұрын
Here's what I just heard: Dennis allen is our HC, Ben johnson is our OC with a new guy assistant OC. i'm not buying into the hype, personally, I feel like this is same old bears, just with more hype around a particular guy. We are expected to not notice because of the hype that johnson is jesus, and we should just trust he knows what he's doing when he's never been a HC before. He is a QB whisperer, and offensive "genius." It's the same pitch we heard for Waldron/Geno smith essentially. But the truth about Waldron is he was a big negative for Pete Carroll's career, not what we heard. when you look at it like that, the saints version of an Eberflus is our head coach again, we just got a new OC who was hired because he had a good regular season record. Allen's record was 26-53 as a HC. How does NOBODY see that this is the same shit the bears have always done, pitched to the fanbase with the same exact rationale? It feels like a fking conspiracy
@GaspoweRКүн бұрын
Idk how you’re hearing this or came to this conclusion because Johnson reached out to Allen to be his DC not to be some shadow head coach. Allen himself had admitted to some short comings that has happened in NO and he’s come to accept to not be a HC any time soon but he’s more than capable of being the main defensive coach and not have to deal with the entire team at a macro level. That is some conspiratorial, level magical thinking here. Sure don’t buy into the hype, be skeptical and that is fine but to make this kind of assertion because “you heard this from somewhere” is incredibly disingenuous.
@niveKOnBassКүн бұрын
@@GaspoweR I didn't hear this, I think for myself and notice patterns in thinking, I challenge the narritive, lol. Of course the media outlets will tell you the best way to not piss you off, the problem is you don't challenge it. How do you prove they are lying and not just telling you what you want to hear? You LITERALLY can't. For all we know, Dennis Allen was Kevin or George's decision contingent to Ben Johnson joining the bears. Isn't that how they hired Eberflus right after Poles got the job? Like 2-3 days after? You expect me to believe Eberflus was his first option because they had a conversation once in the real world? Or could it be that maybe he was the cheapest option? That guy certainly didn't know shit about football to be your first option, I just don't buy it. When all media outlets are saying the EXACT same thing, pushing for the same guy, my reaction is not to buy into it, my reaction is to challenge it, because nobody ever thinks exactly the same like that lol. But i'll humor you: Lets pretend, that Ben Johnson doesn't work out. It's not so far fetched, is it? I mean this is the bears we're talking about, things don't work out all the fking time. That's not conspiracy, that's fact, I didn't say anything out of line so far. If we humor that possibility, lets re-visit the hires: -Head Coach title is Ben Johnson, but his job will be the offensive coordinator, he will make the play calls. -The coordinator is a new guy, who won't be coordinating, but will be learning on the job. Essentially, an OC assistant (not my words, this very video) -Dennis allen just left the saints as a failure of a head coach. (26-53 record as HC). He is known for having a pretty good defensive scheme. He is said to have a TON of experience which will negate Ben Johnson's inexperience. This is what they are saying, not me. So when you consider what we were told, Dennis Allen is basically our HC. The Eberflus of the saints. And we have new guys underneath him (just like last season). It looks identical, with different names and different experiences and different job titles lol. PLEASE find the gap in my argument, WITHOUT claiming that Ben Johnson is Jesus in the flesh. I would LOVE to be on the hype train with you, I want the bears to win just as bad as you and that's why I'm challenging stuff. When you want to call me a crazy person who believes in woowoo bs, do me a favor and scroll down to the comments on this video. Notice the usernames ending in 4 digits, what are those usernames pushing? Do you think those are real people or are they bots to push a narritive? Do human beings actually talk like that? I'm also a tech savvy person who knows how bot usernames work, and they are completely lazy amateurs with it. Don't look just at this comment section for that either. It's on all of the bigger name media outlets too. All the ones who pushed for Johnson immediately and made it such a huge thing. They are even saying McCaskey is coming around. They set the bots to do that to influence opinion on him. I'm not there, he needs to sell the team lol. Welcome to the media game my friend. I'm really sorry I exposed you to it.
