The Big 3 have always been the main positions referenced in our system of pole vaulting. Of course there are several other positions in the pole vault. Heck, I reference a few of them in a couple other videos on my channel...and just to keep things interesting, I reference them by completely different names and letters haha! One thing to note, you have to understand that every athlete is different. I don't "only" reference these positions...that wouldn't be smart. Regardless, if you watch me or my family coach at a meet, practice, or camp...You will always hear us shouting "hit the pole" or "jump up" followed by "see your feet" and "turn". The Big 3 stay true always! Plus, if things are going well we will always throw in a "go up a pole" and "raise your grip" yeahhh budddaayyyyy

Thanks for the kind words. And yeah, I think we all can get overly obsessive on the details and little things that don't play as big of a role. My brothers and I would be picky about everything. Very rarely is that a good thing. There's a big difference between focusing objectively and being obsessed. Two entirely different things haha!

Antes de las garrochas de fibra las mujeres no podían hacer esta prueba. Las anteriores de aluminio obligaban a una técnica de salto muy distinta. Después del rechazo se apoyaban el pecho en la pértiga , mientras se hacía un péndulo y se colgaba estirado para usar el impulso de la carrera y sólo después de encogía las piernas para empezar a subir y realizar el giro y pasar la varilla. Por esa fuerte presión en el pecho contra la garrocha,al comenzar el salt
