Sitting here in the suburbs of Chicago on a day that is only in the 20s F, this video made me so jealous! Absolutely wonderful camera work and views. Thanks for the relaxing music and well written comments. This is a bucket list trip for my wife and I. The closest we have gotten to this kind of scenery is the Canadian Rockies but this is so much more spectacular! Very pleasant video.

Great video, thanks for sharing the ride. In 2016 I had the pleasure of riding over those fabulous passes in the opposite direction starting with Nufenen Pass and finishing with Susten Pass (in both directions). I was lucky to have great weather too and it was one of the nicest rides I've ever done.

Thank you for taking the time to do this. It’s an excellent video. I truly appreciated the extended pauses on the street signs. I normally hate music on motorcycle videos. It worked! Thank you for reminding me why I ride.

Wow, driving into the car park on top of the Susten brought back memories, i thought i'd never see that car park back in 1995 when i traveled all the Swiss passes on my 2 stroke rd350lc, it protested the last 300meters at 20kmh spluttering and gasping for air! Since then i had the pleasure of driving many bikes in Switzerland. The only thing is sticking to the speed limits (Which can be tedious, on those beautiful 80kmh roads) which are strictly enforced by police and it can get very expensive, as Baron von grumble who hosts the 44teeth blog here on YT recently found out. Excellent video by the way. Thanks.

Great video, I am from the US, New York. Some day I will come to Europe. I am very impressed with the BMW K1600GTL. I would love to get one, but alas, I am stuck in that Harley Davidson frame of mind. Old habits are hard to break. I met a fellow traveler last summer going cross country, he had the BMW. He couldn't be happier with his bike. Ride on my friend...

New York is awesome but if you were to treat yourself to two weeks touring Europe on a BMW K1600 life would never be the same again for you! Harley’s...........just no, they are so out of touch with what a great bike can be. You only live once buddy, don’t have regrets about what you could have done!

Roads seem to be in great condition. I went a couple of times on bike holidays to France but the roads were really rough. My Suzuki gsx750f was also a lot rougher than your ride. I am amazed by the tech on bikes these days. Electronic suspension, navigation, heated bum and hands etc.

Hi Allan, any chance sharing the gpx file ? Not that I want to be shameless and copy your ride one on one but just to get my bearings as I plan a similar trip for 2021 on the 1250RS if the situations allows it. Thx a mill !
@MrAllanolesen4 жыл бұрын
Hi Rix If I still have the gps data they would be on one of my offline storages. Alternative it’s easier to lay a route based on the passes. These passes only offer one route between them. You would notice this as soon as you lay a route on a map.

Beautiful video, congratulations. One question: how did the K1600 behave in the corners?
@MrAllanolesen5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, the K1600 is a Tour bike and heavy. It’s still agile and works well in corners also with a passenger. 70% of the torque is below 2K rpm, so it pulls like a bull.

It’s so nice to see European car drivers moving out of the way to allow bikes to ride up between lanes, in the US car drivers are likely to open their door to stop you if you try “lane splitting” as they call it....such assholes! It’s probably something to do with the fact that most Europeans’ first vehicle is a scooter/moped/motorbike so they understand that bikers deserve a little respect. Not much can beat touring in the Alps but it’s not for the faint hearted, 1km drop offs at road sides can seriously spook some riders!

Its so pretty, really like this one, but why.....jesus why so many people use music in videos with bikes. Nobody want to hear music when you can enjoy the original bike sound 🤔
@MrAllanolesen4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Adam, but a BMW are not really making any noise, it would be much wind noise. If we removed the noise reduction on the bike, we would be stopped on each corner in Switzerland ;-) previously I did race track and these bikes make the right music, cheers

This is the best motorcycle tour video I've seen. Well done! I just bought a K1600GT myself and can't wait to get it in the Alps. Which resolution did you use to make such a great video?

In the tunnel there was enough space on the right to overtake without squeezing in. Only one motorist broke traffic rules by using that right side. Good country where everyone obeys the law❤️

Ok video, but always confusing when the camera is mounted on top of the helmet. All these small look around you do with your head, gives the video a unsteady impression. I like it much more with a steady camera angle with GPS data visible on the screen. Nice editing and music though, I could learn something here for my own videos.
