Season 2, episode 13 Sheldon displays his friendship algorithm as a flow chart, and tests it. (this belongs to CBS, not me, I'm just enlightening you with Sheldon's awesomeness)

Kripke actually sounds like an interesting guy to hang out with. Horseback riding? Diving/snorkeling/swimming? Rock climbing? He has some pretty broad interests.

his interests surprise me because they aren't what you expect of a scientist that seems uncoordinated physically (playing basketball). I mean, even if you can't play the sport well, things like horseback riding and rock climbing need good body coordination.

It's sad really... in the country i live - the one just right below the US - all i can be is some mix of Leonard and Howard eventhpught i'm totally a Kripke really inside of me... i've being a Sheldon almost all my life and it sucks being one around here.

@@gustiyanmahardika2560 Scientists aren't freaks of nature, there's the adventure type as well... i just blame global society even, since i guess people in the end just like to be practical and they don't like thinking too much - i guess this is why the astronauts were Howerds bullies, they're the practical type -. A mix of both is possible, but hard. If you achieve the mix your life rocks though, so don't give up.

Very good scene, and as a person studying algorythms I must say it's very efficient, especially Howard's addition is pretty accurate, even initializing the counter at the top.... @chucksolutions45794 жыл бұрын
@Pat Terson why do you think this? I am not trying to pick a fight, but attempting to have an open mind.
@chucksolutions45794 жыл бұрын
@Pat Terson I could just as easily say "search zoos are useful for education and rehabilitation" or "zoos have been instrumental in preventing animal extinction." Today's modern zoos are all about returning animals who are capable to the wild and caring for those that cannot fend for themselves. I agree that it is not the animal's natural habitat but I think simply saying "zoos are cruel" is overly simplistic. I would recommend volunteering at one and try to be a bit more open minded. As to unnatural, everything we are doing is unnatural, unnatural is not the same as bad. Naturally humans would be unwashed and parasite riddled.
@chucksolutions45794 жыл бұрын
@Pat Terson no, I wanted to hear your position on why zoos are cruel. You just said look up zoos are cruel. I used to be an animal trainer, so I have a little experience and perhaps some bias. I was hoping to hear a unique and informed perspective.

To me it always made sense and was a nice touch that Howard, the resident engineer of the group, was the one who came up with a solution on the spot. Sheldon always gave Howard shit for not working in a field that focused on cutting edge theoretical mathematics and programing, but as a engineer Howard's job is to make all these theoretical mathematics and programing actually work when applied to the real world. Because when your job is actually putting the programing into use and it doesn't work, you don't agonize over why it's not working. You go "Okay, why isn't this working?" and come up with a solution, even if it's a quick n' dirty stop gap. Also Seldon's response feels like a perfect encapsulation of how engineers don't get credit for nothing when they do fix the mistakes the theoreticals missed. And Howard's reaction is the perfect summation of engineers putting up with this type of shit even when they're the ones who fixed the mistake! XD
