I had this same exact thing happen to me about a week ago. I was at our local city lake for about 45 minutes and threw everything from a lipless to a Texas rig and a fire crawl chatter in between. As soon as I put a chartreuse and white chatter on, I caught 3 in minutes!

To answer your description question, I like bank fishing as long as I can access the whole pond! My neighborhood has a nice lake but maybe only 10% of it is accessible from the bank. Looking at kayaks to get out further. I also just bought my first chatterbait so looking forward to using that!

Kayaks are great. I have the Predator from old town. Amazing. For the lake side I bring shears or one of those 6 inch chainsaws and make clearings to fish lakes edge.

Having a good pair of polorized sunglasses so you can see in the water better is so important. Not only for sight but some times those lures get slung right to you. You want the sunglasses to protect your eyes. I never fish without them.

I have to say that I'm a huge fan of the Thunder Cricket. Not cheap, but it does thump very quickly which is what you want. But Texas rigs are my main go to. I even did an in-depth deep dive into how to rig and use them.

Red Chatterbait, Red lipless crank bait, White swimbait with a white trailer. Kvd 1.5 Sexy Shad color squarebill. You can buy all these bait's at Wal-Mart for cheap. Use a Spincaster reel and rod with 30 pound braid line. Keep a pair of 6 inch needle nose pliers and braid scissors in your pocket. For changing baits and getting lures out of the big bass's mouth. Maybe a green pumpkin Senko Texas rigged. Watch Debo's videos. He is a great teacher for beginners in Bass fishing. Good luck. SHAWN.

When you feel that tap tap on your line. Set the hook as hard as you can. Drive the hook up through the roof of his mouth. No way will he get off. Use really sharp hooks. Check your drag. Make sure it set tight. Good luck. Hope this helps you. Try a 90 size Whopper Plopper in White or Black. Shawn.

@@Philc231 this is his full time gig, he made that decision before he graduated SCAD. If he were trying to be a pro tour angler, I don't think we would see him very much anymore. Although, it would be very cool imo if he made videos on the bass boat about developing skill for that. But I get the sense that a lot of his subscribers love watching him do the stuff that they can grab a rod and go out and do also.

I would hate to see this fall apart for Noah ,but I think it’s headed in that direction . Did he not hire Cody as his “sidekick” cameraman full time ? That did not last long . Then he had his “boys” filming for him ,now he is filming his own . I love the channel but it’s slow decline is tough to watch . Bro this and dog that , Noah has crazy skills ,but lacks the credibility a few tournament wins would give him . Build a brand but back it up with actions . …….my opinion only .

I've been following this channel for quite a while and he's had guys/groups of guys featured on his channel, and some of those guys didn't necessarily have a falling out with Noah, but their own career choices simply led them separate directions. So with Cody being gone and us not seeing the other guys as much, to me it's not an indicator of status or downfall, more of an indicator that the other guys are on their own grind. Guys coming and going has been happening for years. Once we see subscribers significantly fall and he lose his sponsorship with Strike King, that's when I would start getting concerned...
