Texture adds so much to the finished work. Ever thought about using modelling paste? It can add so much to a painting, and ends up looking like oil paint

It’s incredible how bright the base color was, that hookers green looked so bright and like green green && seeing it dried and how it almost is like the green version of the paynes gray is just gorgeous…. I’m also not mad at the little bit of texture

This is beautiful Rinske. I feel that texture is important with some art pieces and it adds so much more not just visually, tactile touch really does complete the whole experience of an art piece. That connection you get from it is so awesome and so very special!!!. I have been doing art for 45 years and more, and whoever gets to live with my art not only gets the visuals but that whole experience. As an artist for me it is a very important part of what I want to give, because humans need that and it is the first thing we start our lives with. I think the texture adds interests to the piece and if you look at it from a distance, the uneven texture in the background also shows momentum. Great piece! Good with a bright wall area.

I like it! Not everything in the world needs to be perfect all the time. I think the bumps and swirls add to the painting in a good way. It's like beautiful flowers spread out on top of a dark green bush. You can't see all of the individual leaves but you can definitely see that it's a bush or lots of moss growing over rough textured tree bark. 🤔 🥰

I am a traditional artist and love texture. I really like the texture in this piece. When you went over it, I could imagine having used the texture being used as part of blooms. When you varnish, a spray varnish will hide the texture, if you prefer. Love your work

I like the texture! I did one about a year ago the didn’t level out, i was so frustrated. I got it out again a few weeks ago & thought, i love this!! I varnished it & my husband stole it and hung it in his garage!!! I love the green too!!
