I’ve seen many KZbinrs who after long hair journeys reach their hair goals and have to start over. Most of the time they decided they either want to “enjoy” their hair and begin bleaching and coloring it or straightening it more often, or, they come to the conclusion that their regimens are too tedious and time consuming and slack off on finger detangling, using oils, etc, and their hair suffers for it. Just like with a relationship, you have to continue doing the same things you did to get that man or woman if you want to keep them. ❤

Having the courage to big chop and do what’s healthiest is something I advise every woman to do at least once in their life. Like chop down to the barely coil / curl and really get into how you feel about yourself without the hair. That self examination and exploration brings clarity around beliefs and provides a pathway to increased self love 💕 Enjoy the journey!

I remember this exact moment when I decided to do this. the hardest part was letting go of the hair color. I was attached to that Auburn coppery brown color since high school and letting go was hard. coping meant hiding my hair under braids and crochet for almost 2 years. this was way, way harder then it seems at least for me. Sis you are braver then I am because I needed someone else to be holding them shears. I couldn't.

I came so far. My ends are bleached light light yellow and I won’t color it fully anymore. Highlights when it gets to a certain length i like! But no time soon. Growth now. 2 inches and onwards! Congratulations. I went through a phrase i went from 12 inches to 4 inches to relaxer to bleaching copper, orange, bleaching, pink, Aqua, blonde and olive green then blonde at 2 inch ends. No more coloring until it grows out. And i will only highlight like i said! All within 1-2 months The twa stage i dont like so here we go again! I will learn to love it!
