Excelon has time alignment standard does not, the standard kenwood only has EQ pro with 3 parametric bands and the Excelon has 16 bands, Excelon also has way better crossovers with slope adjustments.

Kenwood excelon, excellent line , they have 4 volt preamp line out for front rear and subwoofer output , also adjustable low mid and high frequency sound spectrum adjustment and the warranty is 2 years because the components inside are higher quality and the harmonic distortion and internal AMPLIFIERS are cleaner and better sounding ! Also many have Pandora I heart radio and Bluetooth, the excelon line is superior to the lower end economy Kenwood's ! I personally love the kdc-x399 CD player and fm/am radio head unit multi color display and so many features

I have a 97 lexus lx450 and I have 2 tweeters in the dash . 4 speakers one in each door and a small woofer 4 inch I think in the center console . when you say 6 channel are the extra 2 channels for the tweeters ? or is one of the channels used for the woofer ? How does the 6 channel work ? For some reason in my suv the white connection that is plugged into the old radio is not used when you add a new radio . There is 2 gray connections that are used . Why doesn't the wiring harness you get fit into the one that was used in the old radio ?

steve dental so when we say 6 channel we mean front rear sub rca outputs for an add on amp. The radio have 4 channel 50 watt by 4 output. So that means power for front and rear.

Hey guys love your videos. One quick question. I have a Kenwood DDX774BH. I've tried to do the updates and it failed each time I've tried. I've done it to the book and one time it started updating but stopped at 15%. Had to re-set it to get it back. Any ideas? It's so slow and just not functional anymore. Not impressed with this unit since day one. Any help would be great.

One thing is the update will not make it faster. It is just a patch for basic issues. Things we run into when doing updates are, does not like the brand drive ( we have 3 different brands)

Bull !! the tuners of kdc is more sensitive, and more equalizer (13) the 24 bit fact is in the newer kdc bt768hd and the output is also 4volts. So read the specs at kenwood online to find more info as the kenwood mixes it up, like the DM receivers(no CD) may be your type of unit. Don't blow a fuse, just read up.
