I think what Lucas was trying to say at the end there, was that regardless of what your job is or your goal is the most important thing is that you are happy and that fame, which is a common social goal, doesn't have to be your goal and won't make everyone happy. I think it was just him basically repeating the message of have your own goals that will make you happy not just what society has decided will make everyone happy and what is the "best" outcome.
