This overall series of videos following your hill climb season have been truly outstanding and absolutely have been some of your best content. You have been successful in taking us (the audience) on the journey with you and giving us a view into items that we don't otherwise see. This type of long-form/series content has been unique in the 'cycling KZbin' space, you should be very proud of your efforts in this production outside of the actual race results. I hope that these efforts will set a new standard and new avenue of content for other creators. Extremely well-done!

Another cracking video young man! I'm so impressed with what you've done this year Ed, in you preparation for the National! Not just the training and the races, but also the fact tat you do all of this and still manage to produce these videos! It must dramatically increase the pressure on you, but you seem to just crack on with it and take it all in your stride. I struggle to just do the training, get to the event and not miss my start time 🤣, (only 2 missed starts this year and you were there for both). We're all rooting for you and I just wish I could be there to shout encouragement as you power up the hill. Don't stress too much about doing videos for us this week, just concentrate on keeping the training going to your schedule. The very best of luck to you 👍💪

As a big, fat man I can only marvel at what it is you do & the effort you put in. I've enjoyed this series of vids massively & wish you all the best for the weekend. As long as you leave it all out there, not being able to do any more on the day, what more can you do? 👊

it's a case of always having some doubts. we wouldn't be human otherwise. you're at your physical peak, so there's nothing to worry about there. so as humans we always look for something to self-doubt or give room for improvement. it's like revising for a huge exam - there's always that "something" at the back our minds!! I guess that's why the best of the best have sports psychiatrists there for them.

Looking forward to watching you engage full EdMode next weekend at The Struggle, it's time to regain your title. The singular focus during hill climb season resonated with me; everything leads to that last Sunday in October, but what do you do when it's all over? After Nationals and a few days of enjoying not having to train and eating loads of the food you've abstained from, it's hard to re-engage with real life and find a sense of purpose! Is this something you find, and what do you do to stay motivated?

At the start of this you were a little late starting your prep because of a chest infection/cold I think. Maybe that has ended up being a good thing with not having to hold form for too long. You have just got on with the process and applied yourself to the task as best you could. Not surprising that the stars don't align as often as you would think. Injury, colds, the level of commitment to stay at that level makes it all very difficult and to some degree you need a bit of luck for it all to come together. But you have to put yourself in the position in the first place... which you have done. Win or not on the day, you know you have done the best you can, nothing to reflect on there after the race. It's a matter of has anyone else applied themselves equally or not and honestly, looking at what you have done, if you are beaten on the day hats off to the guy that does it coz he will have worked equally hard. Great channel and insight. Good Luck!!

Really enjoying the hill climb series this year, 10:56 that's a great description of the habits required to achieve peak performance on the day. Whatever the result you have nailed the process this year, best of luck!
