+Glooberloob They meant V cancelling, which is a new technique discovered right before the tournament. Basically, while your character is in certain states (like freefall) and you're hit with a move, you have a 3 frame window to press L or R and reduce your velocity by 5%. It's only marginally useful and probably won't be implemented in actual gameplay, but it's really exciting that we're still learning new things about a 15 year old game. during the weigh-in for the cell games the Z-FIGHTERS held back by just giving the punching bag a little tap and still getting some of the strongest punches in the tournament. vegeta wanted to look cool so he did a full punch and the punching bag flew across the stadium and exploded, so the games couldn't start until they got a new punching bag, allowing for a few filler-episodes before the fighting began.

If you watch the latest match between mang0 and Westballz west does some crazy combos to defea mango, and basically any match with PPMD's Falco has some awesome combos, if you want more I know a couple nore

It was the world tournament saga right before buu saga, not cell games, common guys, get your DBZ facts straight. Also it was Vegita who did it because he didn't feel like holding back. Lastly to someone who said they did it to throw in filler, that's just not true lol, it just made it inconvenient for Gohan because he couldn't watch Goten fight. There was no filler directly after Vegita breaking the bag. Sorry its just that I just watched that episode a few days ago so I'm pretty familiar with whats going on there :P.

Junior varsity. If you have 2 stocks left but win the game without taking any damage you got a JV 3 stock because even tho you actually had 2 stocks you didn't get hit again so it's kind of like you 3 stocked them but not really. Like how junior varsity sports mean your kind of ok but you didn't make the real cut of varsity, or in this case, an actual 3 stock

Mango seems nervous the entire round. It looks like he was slipping a bit. Which is weird cus mango messing up is unheard of. Like m2k, hbox, and the other gods make mistakes sometimes, but Mango usually only drops a game not because of a technical error on his part but because his opponent was just playing really well. Here not only is westballs playing well but its like mango was frustrated. He never loses his cool.

Sigh* in my opinion Westballz was playing too stylish it cost him the match. Notice how he could've easily edge hog mango twice at the end. And one more thing Westballz execution in combos and moves are flawless however he repeats it, if he can change it around a bit he would be unstoppable. Mango went for the win as he edged hog for the kill. Gg maybe next time Westballz peace.

Westballz has the same problem as M2K. They're flashy and know how to combo but they never finish people around 90% with strong moves instead just extend combos til 140% while losing another stock. Mango can be flashy too but if you've watched all of Mangos videos, especially last summer. He combos from 20-70% flashy then ends it with a d-smash, f-smash and sets up for an edgeguard, quite simple really. Mango ends stocks quickly, I dont understand why every other player doesnt just use the same strategy of knocking opponents out at 70% and setting up for edgeguard situations to where recovery options are limited. It's always displayed when Mango plays M2K. that's why Mango always wins. smh.. Westballz.. coulda won.. wasted all his nice jab setups into kills

That's why Mango always wins...? M2K 3 - 0'd him at TBH5, all with Marth, and he won 2 games in a row on Dreamland which is actually pretty bad for Marth, I fail to see the point you're making lol

+ExilixE It's more on their mental game really, each of the five gods(and the akuma) and notable players like westballz are all somewhat on the same plane of tech skill (except Hax baybe) it all goes down to their mindset. M2k doesn't win majors mainly because he has a weak mental game, evidenced by his deterioration of skill level after he loses a few stocks without taking one. Fortunately, here at Big House M2K started to accept his mistakes (like PP, who always consistently gets at least top 3 at every major he goes to due to his....well tech skill and his* very strong mental game*) during the losers semis set with MaNgo. Westballz mainly doesn't win tourneys because he has a bad mind block. We all know he's one of the most technical falcos, and most technical players in general, but he could never win over the 5 *consistently* at most tournaments because he thinks he can't.

+Little Hero M2K the weakest Mental game among the top 6, but that mainly comes playing against the other top 5. He's one of the best at 4 stocking nongods. What Westballz, Lucky, Hax, etc dont lack is skill because there tech skill is practically on par. What separates the top 6 is decision-making. What Westballz, Lucky, Hax, etc. is sometimes get caught in their own tech skill show and they dont slow it down and make the right decisions and crumble. How many times have you seen Lucky just drillshine, n-air, shine, etc. combo in 3 seconds for a kill or hax just rush a combo, or westballz double shine, double shine, double shine, down air. but never go for kill moves or edgeguard situations. the problem is top 6 make better decisions and can slow the pace down to decrease tech errors when getting too flashy and execute more flawlessly.

+Little Hero lol yup. but I think one of the biggest things I noticed is that nontop 6 players tend to play one style, one character. the top 6 are Very, Very adaptive. Every Single One of the top 6. Like Mango for example, knows to be aggressive when he knows his opponents are rattled or making tech skill errors, and knows when to be patient and fire lasers when his opponents are baiting/zoning and waiting to punish moves. Westballz for example only ever plays his style with his double shining, d-air method and never f-smashes, d-smash for edgeguards, adapting, etc.
