I can just hear Roger narrating the city as he is driving to the bar, as on time, bartender throws him a bottle, he sits in the far corner, next to the guy reading his newspaper, not even a glance at each other, a small conversation, and Roger drops him a 40 tip (or so, never counted~). The slice of life and a film noir, of a negotiator as awesome as this one.

Anyone think Roger is a bit of an anti-hero? No. 1 he chooses to live outside the domes when it's obvious he can afford to live within them... No. 2 he wears all black and insist that it be worn in his household..while the leader of the city (I forget his name) wears all white..again symbol for anti-establishment No. 3 he does things his way rules be damned aka vigilante

That just makes him chaotic, not really anti-hero. If he was an anti-hero he'd have non-heroic qualities such as being a jerk, doing some minor acts of evil.etc, Roger is a hero but he's not a classic super nice guy hero, somewhere between. If he were to be defined as an Anti-Hero he'd be a pretty light one.

An anti-hero is someone who does not act like a hero. Roger, no definitely not since he has a clear sense of right and wrong and will not endanger innocent people to achieve his ends. Now Shwarzwald, on the other hand! He could be considered an anti-hero because he wanted to stop Rosewater's plans but was willing to wreck the city to do it.
