Here's the thing about Ren. He is basically like Broadway. He's able to sing in Marleys voice, switch in and out of that to different voices, switch to ska styles that are very much influenced by Reggae, switch to rap but still have a vocal tone and cadence tying it into the rest

Always good to catch a reaction I missed while I was working. Should add a bit of context to *why* Ren and his bandmates can do such authentic sounding reggae. It's because it IS authentic reggae. Between the 50s-70s the UK's former colonies (commonwealth... lol!) were invited to help rebuild the country after World War 2 and to do jobs which couldn't be filled. They brought amazing new sounds, rhythmns and cultures which blended with ones which were already kicking off. Not everyone welcomed it of course. Although I remember some of the worst racists of the early 80s in my hometown weirdly adopting jamaican and carribean sounds too. I mean??? BUT... Most british youths are pretty used to hearing accents and sounds from all over the place and if you have that gift, like Ren, you can sound like any person from any place.
