Rage didn’t sample War Pigs, but Ren and his friends are masters of twisting and blending different music. War Pigs, the Rage hint, Paranoid. the start of the solo was Ozzy, Crazy Train. so, they did 3 Ozzy songs and Rage all in one.

He’s FRESH AF! Isn’t he? They did war pigs, paranoid, killing in the name of, and crazy train. And they did it in their own unique way. I didn’t take away from the original. It paid homage to the original, and made it totally fresh. This guy is incredible to just be doing this on the street. It’s nuts.

Iv only commented once i think. But i hav 2 ask 4 a favor. Im a vet. Saw 2 much. A little known guy as put out music that hit my heart. Made me cry but a good way. Helped me. Songs r on utube. Ken karson. Songs december wind ( how bad many vets treated by the gov offices) 22 ( when song was wrote 22 vets died a day from suicide) and brothers calling ( familys who serve father to son ) Please react to these songs. They helped me and if this music gets out could help others.

I love that bands like The Big Push still cover these amazing songs. It really sucks for the newer generation with all these curated playlists and algorithms controlling what they see and hear. This generation would never get recommended a song by Black Sabbath, so if it isn’t for reactors, channels, and artists exploring lots of genres, they would never find these amazing songs and artists. Artists like Ren like The Big Push like so many of the greats throughout history listened to and appreciate all kinds of music and draw on that knowledge combined with their their own flare to make new amazing music. .

These kids end up developing traits that mirror the algorithms. They don’t branch out and just watch something completely random and new, because they are afraid they won’t like it. Most of their life they’ve been fed information through algorithms that are expressly against putting something somebody might not like in front of them, because if you’re not racking up those thumbs up or those hearts, you’re not making money. That’s why a lot of these genres (I’m looking at you pop and hip hop) have become so formulaic. If you know what people like, keep feeding them the same thing. If you look at the truly great, truly memorable songs, throughout music history, they aren’t the formulaic ones. They are the songs, bands, albums, that transcend genres and draw from a lot of different sources giving an innovative new look at the music. Having some sort of actual point helps also. Start breaking these algorithms people and step out of your comfort zone.
