As I’ve aged to 62 and made many stupid choices in life., the truth that God is my source has magnified. He will never leave me or forsake me. ❤️🎄❤️People are fallible and desperate but those who wait upon the Lord shall 🌷renew their strength they shall walk and not be weary ☕️is true. Don’t put your trust in the strength of humankind. Let Jesus be my strength He wants us to follow Him He will never get behind us and herd us., He is the Good Shepherd who leads and goes before 🌷✝️🌷

I worked in an extremely busy bank. Lines out the door. Full time. Back in the days when tellers weren’t allowed to sit. Dressed like church - heels, pantyhose, and suits while slogging around heavy bags and boxes of coins. Have a smile in your voice when you answer a phone. Work fast and accurately, but be sunny and friendly. Over 15 years. Then after the divorce, back to school and doing social work....still friendly, kind and helping people.

It's super hard to do a face to face customer service job already, but when you can't see over half their face, it adds a serious disconnection to people it seems! I really don't get the rebellion and the psychological issues with mask wearing. Is it because people feel uncomfortable with change and the fact that there actually is a health crisis and things aren't "normal" right now and not within their control? You don't loose your God given face cause you need to cover it to prevent spreading germs. Maybe its because peoples social circle is so small? I don't know, but I find it puzzling. Instead of focusing on the masks, I focus on peoples eyes.... They are the windows. I look for smiling eyes, or eyes that are sharing a personal story. One can still be social and kind and uplifting with a mask and behind plexiglass.

@Rain3Silver4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that would be tough to have to wear a mask all day. The mask suffocates me after while, I need to breathe! I know it does get tiring having to see people in masks everyday. I think it is way over the top and very controlling. It is much nicer to be able to see a person's full face to see their expressions. Because just seeing a person eyes doesn't always portray themselves correctly. At least if we are outside and can stay six feet apart than we don't have to wear a mask.

So much respect for you and your fortitude. I have no doubt you'll soon have your "landing place" and you deserve it, Linda. I think you said something about traveling to California. Not sure when you plan on doing that but please hold off. We have got some horrible wildfires going again this year. Where I live, my sky is orange and the ash is falling all around me. So many homes lost again and one death (so far). It's bad enough on its own but during a pandemic where people are encouraged to stay at home as much as they can, where do those people go now when their home is a pile of ash? It's just horrible, Linda. I want to see you safe and not having to breathe the terrible air right now. Please take care. You are such an inspiration and a wonderful example of how strong women get through this challenging life. Love your idea of watermelon for dinner. I had a low carb root beer float! Yum! Pay attention to where the shade is when you leave work try to park in those locations. If I worked in Walmart I would see if I could freeze bottles of water. My favorite retailer! I’m glad you had such a good experience and shared details of hazard pay, OT etc as Walmart often takes a beating. I’m working a seasonal retail job on Nantucket. They asked me to take on an extra day (from 4 days i did last summer to 5) and then extra 2 hrs a day when a co-worker went out on maternity leave. Now, they asked me to stay until Thanksgiving (which suits me bc Florida is normally where I’d go and I’d prefer to stay here.) It’s a been great experience and I am using my summer money for some needed orthodontics and travel money to see my kids. The mask wearing is a pain, but it is what is.
