When I was 12, my family took a 3 month road trip from NH to Alaska and back. We loved AK so much, Homer specifically, we bought a place there on the trip! Been going back for almost 2 decades. I’ll never forget that road trip. Very good idea replacing those tires.. they’d go eventually, I promise. Because that’s just the way things are haha

DMFD I remember last year when you went to Alaska the series was awesome, I had planned a trip already and went a month after you did. Well about a month ago this Florida boy moved up to Alaska and I'm living my dream. I want to be completely self reliant and live off the grid. My grandfather and his brother used to take a RV from Florida to Alaska but they stopped doing those trips before I was born. I am looking forward to the rest of this series.

When I was just a small kid (late 60's), my parents took my brother's out of school and we traveled around the country for 6 months. I was too young to remember everything, but what I do remember was spectacular. Would certainly like to do it again now that I'm older.
